  1. I had no required seminars, appointments or the like. Psych and NUT were optional and I went to the NUT. Other than that I just had consults with the surgeon and blood screening.
  2. I was struggling to get between 600 and 800 until about week 8 when I increased to 800 to 1000. This is on target with the surgeon and NUT recommendations for me. I can't see myself exceeding 1000 easily unless I go for unhealthy options. I was told to eat Protein first but to keep my diet as balanced as possible. I was not given a daily protein goal but regularly hit about 60 to 70 grams a day. I am not losing my hair (I have my hair stylist on high alert!) and my nails are still growing strong so I am feeling that what I am eating is working for me. I struggle with Fluid intake and my skin is dry so this is a work in progress for me.
  3. I take omeprazole, 20mg, twice a day. Without it the heartburn is just too bad.
  4. It is food that slides down easily giving the sleeve no trouble but high incalories or bad fats and not good for us. Ice cream being a common slider food.
  5. I was told to avoid pasta as it swells in the stomach before being digested. I have a six month ban on pasta and bread for this reason.
  6. We still produce ghrelin just not in the volumes we used to. So some hunger is possible.
  7. Wow! You look fantastic!
  8. Lol. Well I know here they always ask this because of cultural considerations. Many would bury the removed part.
  9. I was asked if I wanted to take the bit they removed home with me. I declined!
  10. Sounds like heartburn to me. Or at the very least indigestion. Try an over the counter antacid and see if it helps. Sent from my iPad using VST

  14. Meant to add earlier, when I notice a stall or increase, and I am not menstrual, I change my diet for a few days and it gets moving in the right direction again. Nine weeks today and no stalls that have lasted more than 3 days. 62 pounds gone and counting...... Sent from my iPad using VST
  15. My hubby suggested I get on top Sent from my iPad using VST
  16. Just made these tonight. Wonderful! A real hit at the dinner table and a few left to freeze for lunches. Can't wait to try the taco ones. Sent from my iPad using VST
  17. I weigh every day. The fluctuations don't bother me, in fact I am learning about my body and my tolerance to different foods from the variances. Sent from my iPad using VST
  18. I used to love Water and had no problem drinking more than 2 litres a day. Now the taste makes me gag. I have to flavor it. I no longer like herbal teas and where I used to love fish I now struggle with all that I have tried other than canned tuna. Sent from my iPad using VST
  19. I have gone from being regular yo having no idea what is up with my cycle. I think it is all part of the changes my body is dealing with. Sent from my iPad using VST
  20. I have had apnea since I broke my nose and suffered a deviated septum when I was seven. I did not get a cpap until I was 32. It took me ages, months and months, to get used to the cpap but 10 years on I love it. Can't sleep with out it. Best of all, when I put it on, I fall asleep. No issues getting to sleep at all! It is worth persevering with. Sent from my iPad using VST
  21. Wonderful! Sent from my iPad using VST
