  1. This is pure speculation, but I think it's because the sucking action churns the liquid and mixes air into it. If this is the case then straws would be avoided to minimize air in the tomach.
  2. Was someone looking for me? I saw the word "stud" so I figured I better check in.
  3. If you want a sleep aid,p why not just buy that? Tylenol PM is a combination of acetaminophen & a sleep aid. The sleep aid is also a lot smaller pill
  4. Hmmm, migh be the powder you have doesn't mix well, most of us that mix extra protein into stuff are using whey protein isolate (a milk based protein rather than a plant based)
  5. I still use mine, did someone tell you not to use yours?
  6. My current residence is in Missouri.
  7. If you make good money & the only debt you have is a car payment I would pay off the car ASAP, sell it to pay for surgery then buy a really cheap car to replace it. Then I would save up to get a nicer car with cash. I don't advocate debt, it wreaks havoc on your finances, much like the extra weight does to your body.
  8. Yup, cravings can be pretty bad the first couple weeks, be strong, it gets a lot easier very soon. My craving was Five Guys burgers. Now they're building one in my town, and it doesn't even bother me.
  9. I was sleeved on May 23rd. SW was 289 CW 205. Total lost 84lbs in 121 days
  10. Anything with alcohol is going to be bad for you, so moderation is the trick, vodka os no exception, the big trick w/vodka is watching what you mix it with. O.J & cranberry areboth pretty sugary.
  11. G2 isn't exactly sugar free, as it does contain sucralose, but it is a lot better than regular Gatorade. I drink a 32oz bottle of it a couple times a week, also Wal-Nart has is in dry single serving form each packet makes a 20oz bottle (I just mix it into a 700ml outlet water)
  12. I do have a question now that I think of it, you said that your sleeve was made too big the first time, was there some of the elastic portion of the stomach left in your old sleeve? I'm thinking this could have been the culprit in the dilation you mentioned.
  13. Thinner Peace, When were you sleeved? I was told that when I am fully healed and all the swelling is gone my sleeve will be 8-10oz. No offense meant, your NUT is probably a great resource for knowing how to nourish your body properly with the restriction given, but he is wrong about stretching your sleeve by using a straw. Liquids are not affected by our restriction, and unless you found a way to suck a turkey through a straw, there is simply no way for a straw to cause your sleeve to stretch. Secondly you have to understand that your sleeve is not made out of the stretchy portion of the stomach like the pouch of an RNY patients is (this is where I think your NUTs misunderstanding is) instead it is the muscular portion of the stomach, not easy to stretch at all, yes, it can be done, but it takes a ton of abuse for this to happen.
  14. What exactly are you tired of? Milk based proteins, or the concept of shakes? I like to mix hemp protein in 4oz of Naked® mango purée and blend with a few ice cubes. The mango flavor is strong enough that I use to mask almost anything. Unfortunately it's not very low calorie, but that's why I only use 4oz.
