I don't know why you'd choose to leave. I am a member in all 4 forums. I choose to do so because I know there are many misconceptions about VSG, and since I do tend to post on many threads I like to be able to read personal experiences from people who have actually had different procedures rather than to rely on hearsay comments from other posters. And also, you are very correct, no WLS is going to make it impossible to gain weight (with rare exception). I could easily choke down 4-5pints of Haagen Das a day with little to no restriction. It does require at least a minimal amount of self control.

VSG in Mexico ranges from 4000.00 to 8750.00 depending on surgeon, location, & facilities.

I'm hoping I'm reading something wrong or something. Are we talking about HGH or HCG? HGH (human growth hormone) to my knowlege will not assist in any type of weight loss. As a matter of fact the most common use of it is to increase bone size so the body can hold more muscle. HCG (the pregnancy hormone) on the other hand will almost definitely assist in losing weight temporarily. It a very strong appetite suppressant. Unfortunately everyone I've ever met that has used it rapidly regained more weight than they lost immediately after they came off of the medication.

It's a balloon that is inflated in your stomach. It is placed through the esophagus and inflated via a tube. It occupies a large portion of the stomach till it is removed.

The balloon is a temporary procedure designed to minimize your appetite short term to lose a few lbs. it does nothing to address long term or major weight loss as it does nothing to address the size of your stomach. Instead it is inflated inside your stomach to temporarily reduce your capacity for food.

I was kinda hoping that a lady would have addressed this, but looks like I get to set myself up for a lynching again. You are rapidly losing weight. All that fat that is being burned off your body has stores of estrogen in it. As it burns off, all that estrogen is dumped into your blood stream. At this point you are chemically imbalanced. *ducks for cover* I thought that I was immune to this being a guy, but after asking my wife, I was informed that I was very short tempered for a couple months after surgery. She said I would get upset about little things that haven't bothered me in years, & she felt like she was walking on egg shells to keep from annoying me. I know this is not what you want to hear, but it probably not him. In all reality he is probably sitting there wondering where his wife went, & when or if she's gonna come back. My advice is to sit down and ask him why he thinks the 2 of you are arguing? I bet his response will be something like "because you are not happy with anything I do anymore.". Then explain to him that you just learned about the chemical imbalance this surgery creates & you make a concerted effort to curtail it. But you will be a bit on the sensitive side till the weight loss slows. So the price he pays for getting a thin hottie for a wife. Is he has to deal with the b!tch for a few months.
