  1. My opinion here is, it is completely dependent on the OP's mindset. I went into this surgery knowing that I was committing to an entire lifestyle change. I knew that after surgery that I was not going to ever overindulge on food again. I knew that there were going to be several foods that I wasn't going to allow in my diet at all for a long time. I had a huge food funeral. Literally weeks of eating anything that sounded good. I kept it in mind that if this was going to work for me, I was going to have to be committed. If that's your mindset, then I believe that you'll be fine. On the other hand, if you are looking forward to eating prettymuch the same stuff you already do as soon as possible just in smaller quantities, then the whole food funeral thing I could see being a bad thing.
  2. Everything in moderation. A few oz of diet soda now & then isn't going to hurt you, unless you have an addictive personality (like most of us here) then you really need to decide if you can only do a few oz here & there. If not, it's better to abstain.
  3. I ate them like candy for about 2weeks. Wait, they are candy......
  4. Actually, she did. Reffer to the 6th post in this thread.
  5. Holy cow people, I have 2teenage daughters. And somehow so called adults seem to stir up more drama than both of them combined. "CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?" Rodney King
  6. IMO, yes, you are headed down the wrong path. Remember the first few months are when you have the most rapid weight loss. I personally am 8months out & I still do not eat rice, bread, Pasta, potato, or fried foods. White carbs like these are immediatly turned into sugar, not to mention they trigger cravings for more of the like.
  7. 18-80 , blind, crippled, or crazy. I don't discriminate
  8. Whoo Hooo!!! I'm with you 100% on this one. Kinda like when I realized I coul move the seat in my truck forward without smushing my belly. Keep it ip. Great NSV!!!
  9. Ha ha ha. I'm so glad you do not like these. The answer is no, all protein doesn't smell like those shots. The reason I am glad you had such a bad experience with them is because they are total garbage. Stay away from protein shots. They are a collagen based protein that will do you no good. You need I high quality protein like a whey protein isolate. Always read the labels ingredients, if it says collagen or Gelatin do not buy it. It is garbage.
  10. If dryness is a problem, brine them & use a thicker cut.
  11. They'd be in the natural/health food section in higher end grocers, also available at herbalist stores, Vitamin Shoppe, & amazon.
  12. Hi Rose, did you have Sleeve Plication, or VSG? I wasn't aware of sleeve plication in the US yet.
  13. Yup, and he is back with another acct. but as long as he is respectful of other members he can stay.
  14. I take you found a way to get them down comfortably.
  15. Along with being very nutritionally dense, the major benefit of chia to us is that its outer membrane absorbs & retains Water, carrying it into the intestine naturally relieving the dry, hard stools many of us suffer with.
  16. Over 50 thread? Guess I'll be back in about 11 years.
  17. You can consume them almost any way. I prefer to put them in my Protein drinks and let it sit for about 1/2hr so they swell. But you can mix them into pudding, yogurt, sprinkle the on to whatever you are eating, I've mixed them into Peanut Butter. I've even eaten them straight. Just make sure that you drink plenty while using them as they will absorb water, whether it is before consumption, or in your belly. BTW, I like your new AVI
  18. There are several ppl here from NY. Are you in he city, island, or upstate?
