  5. I can't put my finger on just how and what I actually feel, maybe something will kick in for us tomorrow? I'm naming my band Bambi...LOL!!
  6. I love the Lane Bryan jeans, they have short, tall and all kinds of fits. I really like the fit of their straight leg jeans, very flattering.
  7. I'm glad you're over the hump, I'm sorry you were so miserable I will follow you as soon as I get my blog going, I have blogged for years and now I want to document this journey. I hope the rest of the weeks goes smoothly for you.

I go in for surgery Wednesday morning, I've had a few OMG!! moments, but that's to be expected. I think I'm ready, I got the call from the nurse this morning, I gave her the list of medicine I take, she told me what I should bring, so I'm set. This is REALLY happening.
  9. Ooooooh thanks for that, I hadn't thought about it. I can't wait!
  10. Thanks everyone, I'm good and feeling a lot better...just three more days
  11. Great! hope you're feeling good post-op!
  12. Absolutely! The quality of life we will have...amazing!
  13. That's a great thing to look forward to, because that brings up the feeling of well-being. Savor it and Celebrate it when you get there, and of course share it with us
  14. I made a list of things that have nothing to do with how I will look, because that is just icing on the cake. Not taking or reducing my Meds. for Diabetes Feeling good and healthy No back pain Sleeping better Being physically strong What about you all?
  15. Thanks!!! I actually watched a video of the surgery when I met my Dr. and it actually re-assured me, the fact that the incisions are so small and that there is NO cutting of my stomach is awesome. I also loved how there was practically no blood, I'm a big sissy girl when it comes to that stuff, and I thought it was great to watch it Thanks for the prayers!
  16. Thanks everyone, I feel a LOT better. I am now focusing on more important things, like what to wear when I go in for surgery, LOL! Girls will be girls!
  17. Oh yeah, I was on a fast train to batty.
  18. WOW! you are a pro Great advise to detour my thoughts, thank you.
  19. I can totally handle that... thanks!!
  20. Oh thank you! O.K I can relax now...
  21. Thank you doing this! I love it!
  22. I keep reading about people waking up while still in the operating room, that has me freaked out. I have had surgery before, 4 to be exact, and I have always woken up in the recovery room. Some people have said they woke up and still had the tube in their mouth/throat...why? I am really nervous about that, just the thought of it is making me queasy now!
  23. Good thoughts to all of you having surgery this week!!!! Mine is a week from today!

Eight days to be exact, yikes! I went to a support group meeting last night. I really enjoyed it, not only was everyone there very welcoming and friendly, but I learned a lot. My take-away from the meeting " Everyone struggles" Ha! Seriously, it was great to hear everyone's story and see how far they've come, and hearing about their struggles, what they've learned the hard way...those are the things that I need to keep in mind. I will go back next month, never thought I'd go more than once...now I can't wait for the next meeting.
  25. Thanks y'all!!! I appreciate your input so much. You know what you're talking about...I don't know what I would do without this forum.
