  1. I was banded on Tuesday. The gas is horrible. I walked around our local kiddie park twice yesterday and believe I'm headed out there again when I get my clothes on! Funny, I was having pain in my left shoulder last night and wondered if it was gas. After reading posts, I guess it was. Later all...I've got some gas to get rid of! LOL!
  2. Banded this past Tuesday. Doing really good except for a couple of things, the incision site for the port is killer sore and I have horrible gas. Walked around a kiddie park 2 times yesterday and will again today when my hubby gets home.

  4. Mea425...Excellent! I'm so excited for you!!! Mine is next Tuesday. I'm no scared at all. My doc says that I'll be staying overnight seeing as how I'm and hour and 15 min from the hospital. I'm so happy to hear that it all went well. I hope you have a restful nights sleep! Let us know how you are doing tomorrow! Big hug!!!

  6. Welcome Trina! You will find many friends on here that share their stories and are a wonderful support!
  7. Agreed. We all gained weight because of our issues. I'm sure there are few that breeze on through without struggles. We have to look at the banding as a tool and if we aren't ready to face the issues that got us there in the first place, it's going to be fruitless. As foodies, we are so used to failure. This to me is HUGE. I told myself a long time ago that if I ever got the opportunity to be covered through insurance that I would give it my all. I'm not saying that I am going to be a success story, I just know that this is my last ditch effort...I hope that you are able to get some help. I will keep you in my prayers! Much love and hugs!
  8. @bamasleever...That's exactly how I've been feeling. I started on Tuesday, 2 weeks before banding. I guess we may not be getting enough to eat/drink. I'm going to ramp it up tomorrow and make myself choke down the shakes. I did have progresso tomato basil soup today and it was delicious. I might have to throw some protein powder in to fill me up. Good luck! My band date is for June 5th. When is yours/
  9. My bariatric nurse told me that she had a patient that was in front of the tv watching the super bowl with a bowl of pretzels and was "mindless" eating. He wasn't paying attention and was "woofing down" and ended up at the hospital. So the lesson learned is no mindless eating! Old habits die hard! I get banded on June 5th! :0)
  10. I am carolinagirl2012. Just started it yesterday. I've had a headache both days! Yikes! How about you?
  11. I'm being banded June 5th! We can all be buddies! Whoop-Whoop!!!
