  1. Ok, I know there are a gazillion threads on protein shakes, but I don't know how to find them on my phone! I'm trying to locate a protein shake that tastes YUMMY! I like EAS soy protein shakes in vanilla, but there are 19 carbs in a serving and too many calories. I just purchased muscle milk protein powder in chocolate, and it tastes NASTY!! :-( I'm going to be throwing it away! I have been looking through reviews on amazon and syntax has great reviews, but so do sooo many others! Plus there is an endless selection of protein powders! Should I just go with the syntrax nectar? What tastes GREAT plus has low carbs? If it matters, I am looking for a chocolate flavor so i can alleviate the cravings lol!
  2. Fmla is a federal law, which means it applies to every single state. There are, however, rules that apply to Fmla to qualify. And individual states have their own laws and rules regarding disability etc. Best bet is to do what you said and talk to HR! Good luck!
  3. Omg! I can't even imagine fresh dungeoness!! I have only had frozen here (and it is still good!). Where can I get this crap cupcake recipe?! You have me interested!! :-)
  4. I agree! Thanks! I will check that out! Anything to save this mama some time!
  5. Omg!!! Tonight I realized that one of my fave foods is a perfect sleeve food!!....CRABS!! (or crablegs!--whichever!). I bought some frozen snow crab legs from the store and steamed up three clusters. I could only eat 1 1/2 clusters & I was stuffed! They were soooo yummy!! And they are perfect for the sleeve because they are full of protein, easy to chew (tender), and they force you to eat slow! I'm so happy I discovered this tonight! I was getting kinda tired of tuna!
  6. Ewww to swallowing olive oil and enemas! Lol I didn't know that's what EVOO was! Haha guess I'm "edumacated" now
  7. Thanks for all the comments! I did take my antacid w/out any problem, but I'm still just sipping on liquids. What is evoo? And I should probably get some tums for sure! Why arent we supposed to take gel-caps? :-/
  8. This morning I had to wake up really early to nurse my baby and express milk. When I was putting the bottle in the fridge I figured I would take my first round of pills of the day. I took three small pills (diameter of pencil eraser) and three colace soft-gels. I took them all one at a time with a sip or two of water in between (but kinda fast admittedly :-/). Right after I went and laid back down to go back to sleep but I couldn't. It felt like a pill/burning feeling in my chest. I tossed & turned and finally decided to get some more water. This helped a little bit (enough for me to finally fall back to sleep), but now I still have that feeling almost 6 hours later plus it hurts when things are going into my tummy (I have only been drinking liquids). Can anybody relate to this? Should I take my antacid?? I'm kinda scared to swallow a pill though
  9. I deleted all of my posts because I didn't want somebody to not read through it and not realize that I made a mistake! :-)
  10. What is your username for my fitness pal? I would love to look!
  11. Ok.... So it seems as though my port actually is out!!! I felt a knot and thought it was there, but it's just scar tissue!! I'm sorry I seem to have created a rant on here! I have been assured there is no more port! It didn't show them removing it during surgery, but it never really showed the attached port either (I only saw the tube that hooked to the band), so my mind just went kinda wild! Again, sorry for the confusion! And thank you for the support when I really genuinely thought it was still in there!
  12. Thank you all for all of your support!
  13. So, I have joined onederland. Pre-op I was 217 lbs. I will be 3 weeks post-op on Friday and I weighed in at 198.1 lbs today! I'm happy to be back in onederland, but I feel so apprehensive! My weight has yo-yo'ed soooo bad the last ten years! When I was 19 (I'm 28 now), I was up to 237 lbs, by the time I was 20 I had gotten down to 155lbs (due to stress I couldn't eat, so I lost weight inadvertently). A few years later and I had worked my way back up to 221lbs, which is when I got my lap-band. After my lap-band I got back down to 179 lbs & then I got pregnant 4 months after and ended up at 235lbs at the end of my pregnancy. After having my first baby I started to get back down in weight. I got down to 195 lbs and then I decided to have another baby, which led me to the 217 lbs I was at on my surgery day! I just want to maintain a healthy weight and I don't know what I'm going to do if my sleeve fails. I almost feel like I'm just destined to be fat! I have been doing wonderful on my post-op diet, but I still can't wait to eat normal food! I'm just praying this restriction will be what helps me maintain a healthier lifestyle! I NEVER want to be over 200 lbs again!
  14. I have contacted her for a bunch of things actually (I had a few complications right when I returned home), and she was great! I just thought I would see what other patients are doing because even as direct as the post-op menu is its still kinda vague lol
  15. So when can we eat popcorn after surgery?? I bought a very nice theater-style popcorn machine for my sons bday party... I figured it would be nice to have for family nights together (maybe once a week or so).
  16. Very good suggestions! I just never thought I would see the day that I forget to eat! Haha
