Sorry about the nasal swab thing. I had one and it was negative and I had a place come up in my left armpit. I am sure the nurse didn't do the swab right. Like I said, I've been doing mupricon intranasal and hibiclens also. The hospital I'm having surgery at is notorious for MRSA. Keep me posted on everything... I feel your pain! Jessica

Isla, sorry to hear about everything that happened to you. At least you had an experienced surgeon and he knew enough to call it quits! Your time will come.... With everything, there is purpose! I know the feeling... I have been experimenting with different things(I'm still pre-op for another week.) One of mine is horrid!!! Can't find anything that cuts the taste. Let me know if you find something that works. My bad one is effexor. Jessica

Thanks... If we can get through this, surgery should be a snap! Every doctor is so different. It doesn't make sense. Some don't have a pre-op diet at all, some can eat a little, some are longer and some are shorter! You would think there would be a bariatric standard for this....IDK... Jessica

Just needed to vent. I am on a ten day liquid diet, surgery is Sept 19. The mind games have begun. I really miss food. I keep thinking... Will I ever be able to enjoy food again??? Will I ever feel full and satisfied??? Do I really want to do this??? I know it's mind over matter at this point. That doesn't make it any easier. I missed work today. Woke up and I was dizzy and lightheaded. Took my meds and realized that I forgot my blood pressure meds yesterday. So today was like a double whammy! Uhgggg! Please tell me it gets better... Jessica

Been on a liquid diet since Sunday. Not feeling too bad. I honestly didn't think I would make it this long...lol Jessica

I'm on day 3... It's not been as bad as I thought it would be. I can have 3 servings of dairy a day and 2 high Protein supplements(liquid)... Jessica

I'm having the rny. I was originally going to have the sleeve but I have a hiatal hernia and my surgeon didn't it was a good idea. I work in healthcare and am a MRSA carrier. I have been doing stuff to prevent an infection and will most likely be on antibiotics in the hospital. I have found that some men are insecure with themselves when it comes to wls. Jessica
