Welcome LSG :-) where is your dr? Eveyone has different things they go through at different stages! My first apt wasnt with the surgeron but with a NP and she set up all the other apts i needed to have done, endoscopy, ultra sounds, blood work, support group meetings, diet, nurt, sleep study, ect... have done any of these or do you even have too?

I love the grape flavored ones... anf have just tried the wild berries and raspberry and omg they are all so good! I hate plain water cant drink it at all makes me gag, and trying not to drink my forever love ice tea from dunkin and i stopped drinking soda all together so these are what i drink all day long!

Does anyone know if it is ok to drink these the ones with zero calories or with 5 calories per 20oz bottle?

Got my new date for July 3rd :-) so i get to enjoy my family for a fews and can take the time i so very well need! Thank you all for your kind and caring words for the loss of my baby Brother :-(

Thank you guys, sending hugs your way too! I am ok i think i am numb it hasnt really hit me yet hasnt had time too! I am so glad i can turn to this site and have so many friends that truly care and understand!

My Brother passed away this afternoon after a boating accident yesterday, i have had a horrible weekend :-( i had to cancel my surgery for tomorrow i just cant do it tomorrow my kids and nephew need me here! I feel so guilty and cant believe i have waited so long to have this done and now i cant!!! Hopefully i can have it done next week or the week after!

No pre diet here :-) just liquids on monday, i have some samples of the different protein i havent tried any yet thought i would wait till after, i have tried the carnations instant breakfast and they arent bad if you like chocolate milk! Has anyone had thoughts about changing their date? I cant seem to kick the thought that i might not just be ready to do this just yet. I have been doing it for almost 3 yrs and was denied once, i guess i just figured it would be denied again! I was really excited when i got approved but now i am not sure what to do :-(

Lol,i am saying the same things! I haven't shopped yet i do have just about everything here already would like to get some unflovored protein though :-) have you gone shopping yet? Where are you having the surgery? How long is your stay?

I am a mess lol! I tslk myself out of doing it and then right back in to do it, i so dont want pain or the dumping!!! How about you?

You should ask the drs, office and see what they say and you can also call the insurance co and find out why you were denied! Maybe you can get what you need that way too!

I have pre diabetes, my BMI was to low to get them to approve it without any medical reasons so with the fatty liver and the pre diabetes they finally approved it :-) is your drs a center of excellents?

Saint, you aren't kidding, everyone i know smokes every where i go they smoke and if there is a way they find it!!! I want to quit, they are $ 10.00 a pack here that a car payment a month or new clothes lol

Dina, i am also may 29 here :-) and i am having a hard time with the whole quiting smoking, i also am going to try the patch in the am! I need to quit by surgery i can even think about not being able to smoke in the hospital after surgery and i don't want to not heal right or have something else go wrong do to smoking!

I didnt know i had a fatty liver it just so happened i had a cat scan for pain i was having a few yrs ago and happened to see it in my paperwork. Ask your primary Dr if he has anything on it too, i have BC/BS (temsters) and i had to have medical reasons to have the sleeve, and go to a center of excellents to be approved.

May 29 here :-) no pre op diet just a liquid diet the day before, i see that most have the per op for 2 weeks or more wonder why so different? And the post op food list are so different too!

Do you happen to have a fatty liver? If you don't know ask the dr to do a cat scan it will tell them and if you do the insurance has to cover it for medical reasons! Hope this helps
