  2. Ok, if you take the crime rate along with population, the crime rate is lower in most Mexican states than USA states.
  3. iegal, you're not going to be ostracized. Your journey is just that. Yours. And who you choose to tell is a part of that. On my journey I wanted information and I turned to YouTube and learned tons. I feel like if someone were there to hold some mirrors at the right angles I could sleeve myself BC I've seen so many surgeries....lol I'm going to be self-pay in Mexico. I intend to put many minds at ease about medical tourism. I'm not promoting anyone, not paid to sit and tell a testimonial. I'm a straight shooter. Ok irl I suck at aiming....but I get as close to the target as I possibly can. Which is what I plan to do here as well. Ima shut up now
  4. Lissa, I thought I was the only one that threw "snarky" around. If u were a man I'd have to marry u
  5. Lol. I'm v-logging it all for the world to watch. If a surgery can give me my life back, I'm all in
  6. Dang, I love eggs and y'all are scaring me. I'm not there yet but a soft scrambled egg was the very 1st "mushy" one of my friends ate. She said it was the best scrambled egg she'd ever eaten. one spoonful filled her up.
  7. I'm not there yet but a friend of mine says she loved her week 4 and the first thing she had was a softly scrambled egg. Lol she said "that was the best scrambled egg I've ever eaten"
  8. Yay! U seem cheerful and we're so happy to see Ur posts. Of course we all knew he and his staff would take great care of ya. Rest up so we can hear all about it
  9. Honestly? There are 2 different ways. When u walk in the door go straight to the bathroom n brush your teeth instead BC nobody wants to eat after they brush his/her teeth. And if you need to u can do one of my oldest tricks in the book. Buy a box of straws. After u brush your teeth, grab straw and chew on it. It gives u something to crunch on. I was never a snacker after high school. I'm a "volume eater". My mom taught us that trick when we'd come home from school and want to eat her out of house n home before dinner. And well, I'm bi-polar and also take cymbalta and abilify. Those help lol
  10. Ur welcome. I saw that on a TV show a long time ago and have ended up getting them off lots of people.
  11. Lol. Thanks. Now if I can just learn to spell-check. I misspelled "our"
  12. It is a booming business these surgeons aren't limited to where they can practice. They are very skilled. Renowned PS Camacho-Melo is a member of BajaMed.
  13. wow, I need to pay attention. I saw Grand Prairie and .... no really I meant not that far away as in...ummm...planetary distances...yeah, that's it. We're still in the same galaxy and all....
  14. Pookeyism: Thank you for the link those staples are awesome
  15. yay! Thanks y'all. I'm in no way saying that there is anything wrong with Dr. Garcia or his coordinator. They are both awesome. That alma is as sweet as the tea is here in the south , but when I felt like I did about mexicosurgerysolutions and the aftercare that I'll be getting here in the states, well... I'm sure y'all probably all know what I mean. It was like someone deflated my balloon halfway and it didn't float quite as high. MKARDH: I have a meeting with Rick tomorrow and we are going over all of that (and you know that ur not far from me at all in grand prairie)
  16. Lol.not technique. I was trying to say technology but my phone had other plans. They use the tri staple that you see in some of the YouTube videos. I'm not sure how it's spelled but it is pronounced "covidian". The staples alone are like $1500 and I'm only paying $6200 for everything including room, etc
  17. Kat, YouTube how to get it off using dental floss. You're going to swell up and could lose circulation in that finger.
  18. Omg!I could get blissfully lost in all those delightfully fluffy pillows. I'm so jealous!
  19. Sarah! My $ came through and I get to go with the ones I wanted!
  20. If y'all didn't know...I'm so happy. You know from my previous posts it was obvious that I wasn't able to go with my 1st choice mexicosurgerysolutions due to $ reasons and last night had finally decided to go with Dr Garcia. Well, this morning my financing CAME THROUGH and I get to go with my 1st choice! I'm so glad the BajaMed group (they have the privilege of practicing in ANY of the hospitals there, unlike so many surgeons) is doing my surgery! I knew they were a little more than Garcia BC they use the newer stapling technology, and wanted them so so much. Right now I'm literally smiling so much my face hurts.
  21. Lissa, no one could have said that better. No wonder we get depressed. Our comfort... What we have turned to time and again for comfort, (food)..is no longer there for us. We have to finally learn to hold or own sky up
  22. I'm not post-op, but I now know when I AM post-op not to even think about ditching my Cymbalta for much time after
  23. i do my own hair KAT!!! Can't u tell? But I'm gonna let the pros handle the surgery because my heavy breathing would fog up the strategically placed mirrors I'd need to perform the VSG on myself
