  1. It seems to me, that some surgeons patients lose slower than other surgeons. Is this my imagination? I'm aware that everyone loses at different paces and that it a lot of it depends on compliance etc, but it really seems like this one drs patients lose faster than the other. I posted this here because its 2 Mexico surgeons that I'm researching, that I've noticed this about.
  2. I'm terribly jealous of your peace. I can't find it! Im still torn between the same 2 surgeons. Sigh. I'm happy for you. Can you message me with who you chose and why, please!?
  3. In freaking out too. I'm really afraid of complications, but the thought of an absolutely complication free and smooth sailing kind of recovery is just too beautiful. I'm so excited and nervous! Add to all thy nervousness, I'm going to mx for my surgery and I've never been on a plane. Ha! I have always said hat you'll never find me on a plane but I've decided this is worth it.
  4. Oh my goodness do I know how you girls feel! And it's selfish of me to say that I'm totally happy that I'm not alone, because. Well that would be lonely !! I do talk to my husband about surgery, against his will. Lol. His eyes glaze over about how mine do when he starts talking about his man things. I ADORE christmas and I feel do bahumbug this year because I just want it over with so we can move on to better things. This is worse than waiting for your baby to be born. Diamondeyed, I hear you!!! To finally be happy and healthy and feel human. What does that feel like? Sigh. SO SO SO ready.
  5. I lol'd at "I ate all that" and I think you're funny. Lol That said, I'm sorry, that sounds miserable. (Hug)
  6. Well, I tried to delete this thread but I guess that isn't an option? Dr. Ortiz isn't in the price range I was hoping for
  7. What can you tell me about him? Besides that he's BEAUTIFUL!? And what about the obesity control center, is that a clinic or a hospital? All things, please!
  8. Planning on going in late feb or early march so I'm joining. I'm 29 Bmi 39 I believe Im in Missouri Going to mx for surgery
  9. I emailed him about this and he said that yes, they do use anticoagulants after surgery.
  10. Tami, are you going through ready 4 a change? They sent me the pre and post op information. The diet starts 7-14 days prior and the. There's the laxative and stricter all liquid 3 days prior.
  11. Hello all, I'm just wondering how much cash I should take for tipping, etc?
  12. It depends on a few things, like insurance requirements, etc. If you lose a bit Before, you will be healthier for surgery and lower the risk if complications. I'm trying to retrain my brain about food before surgery. I want to get used to eating consciously, smaller portions and because I'm hungry, not because I'm experiencing emotions. I'm also trying I NEVER have seconds. It's just unhealthy. I'm also learning that it REALLY DIES take 15 minutes for your brain to realize your hunger is satisfied. I think that I would be setting myself up for depression if I waited until after surgery to make any changes at all. It would be too rude of an awakening for me
  13. Woohoo!!!! Can't wait to say that I have 10 lbs to lose!!! (100)
  14. I haven't gotten my surgery yet and can't help with that aspect, but I wonder. Are you working out this time around? And were you last time? I know for me that when I lose weight while exercising I feel so good about myself, and the fat rearranges itself. Just a thought.
