  1. Being post op is a little bit scary. I'm praying a lot and trying not to make mountains out of mole hills but its hard.
  2. I googled the heck out of this before posting because I don't want to be the woman that fills the post op forum up with all of her concerns, but I didn't find much. Some said low potassium and other non alarming things. I woke up feeling weird this morning. Just like my had wasn't going to feel good. Got up and went into the living room and my heart felt like it was pounding. I wouldn't describe my chest as tight and I'm not having difficulty breathing. It's worse around my young children who are stressful and loud. Almost like an anxiety attack only slightly worse. I come to lay down in my room and focus on breathing and it gets better. My fingers and feet are tingling though, almost as of they aren't getting enough blood. DANG I don't want to go back to a hospital. What do you think? It doesn't seem to fit leak descriptions or PE descriptions but I'm taking it easy today and really watching it.
  3. I'll drink one slower today. Do you guys know if nuking the chocolate for 30 seconds could "kill" the Protein? I like my warm chocolate.
  4. I think I have to stop them for a few days. . I think my tummy doesn't like them yet. They do feel heavier and that doesn't bother me so much but sleevy just grumbles and rumbles and tries a temper tantrum. Or maybe I'll do only one a day (I don't even drink the whole thing) and see if that makes it better. Sigh, I'm not sure what to do. I love my drinks and I like feeling like I actually ate something. Woe is me Edit to add: I'm 1 week out today, started them on day 5. Had permission to start them day 4. The chicken broth powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury does NOT tickle my fancy and the unflavored, I add a TINY amt to my G2. I don't need to go getting weak. I has stuffs to do.
  5. I think all Protein powders are nasty in Water. Lol That wasn't helpful. What about almond milk? I don't know a hong about a colonoscopy tho.
  6. I read on another "cold" thread here on vst that grehlin has been linked to body temp regulation. Makes sense.
  7. Glad you feel so great! That's a lot of broth, go uou! I only got like 10 sips in at a time then it would go cold. Ew. Lol You'll notice that each batch of broth will taste different. Mu fave was the super salty kind. Don't judge me. Lol Anyway, it's all better from now!
  8. Yeah, some drs don't. I'm glad mine does.
  9. In dr. Alvarez' book, he describes our sleeves like anew babies tummy. Know how you have to burp a baby after every oz or so so they don't get painful gas. So do we. Makes sense. I just posted something Monday when I was 3 days out called "sip BURRRRP" or something along those lines. Lol
  10. Glad all went well! I love dr. Garcia and am very thankful to him. I love that he's "real" and not cocky like most us surgeons and that he genuinely cares about all if us.
  11. You all made a great choice!
  12. I'm 5 days out and I have this feeling when I breathe. It's not unbearable but very bothersome. You know how sometimes you get that feeling in your long and you have to breathe real deep to make it go away? That's how it feels, only I don't think this is my lungs. What could this be? I read that left rob pain can be a ruptured or enlarged spleen. Surely not!
  13. If your spirometer is put together correctly. Make see the hose is in the "patient side" hole. I sucked like crazy on that dang thing and couldn't make that ball move. Til I showed the nurse that it said "patient side" on it. Sigh.
  14. My paperwork said 40 mg Prevacid but dh couldn't find it. this is all they had, 15 mg 24 hour release stuff. It's ok right? I'm 5 days out, if it matters. I'm posting a pic but sometimes they don't show up.
  15. Dang. I know you're turning heads!!
  16. I'm 5 days out and not hungry. My tummy rumbles and k get that feeling of hunger but then I burp. I'd have to say that no, I'm not hungry.
  17. Yay! That first night IS hard, huh? Isn't dr. Luna such a cute baby face!? And r4ac really is good at what they do. I'm glad I didn't pick different coordinators. I am home, and had the best nights sleep since this adventure began last Friday. Yawn I hope the rest of your recovery and trip are uneventful. <3
  18. I'd say 3-4 days. It really depends on age though, it seems if you're say over 40, you might have a rougher time. I'm 29 and it took me about 2-3 days to really feel myself.
  19. Please teach me how to sip without belching? I har huge bubbles in every sip, literally. So I'm going sip (craaack) Sip (blaaart) Sip (croak) So ladylike. Is there a trick or is it something I just wait out?
  20. I can't sleep worth a poo and I'm 3.5 days out. I'mhopin it's just ciz I never have been able to sleep on my back and of course that's the only way I can sleep. That and I'm all worried about dvt
