Hi!! I'm scheduled for 8 -21!! I have a friend who had her vsg by Dr Aceves 2 yrs ago and has lost 200 lbs!! I'm a bit scared cuz I'm a high bmi but mostly hopeful be side I have tried everything!!

8.21.12 with Dr Aceves!! Nina his coordinator has been wonderful to work with this far!! I'm scared and joyful all at the same time!!

Thank you everyone for your support.... I still feel a bit humiliated by the doctors approach not because of the request for me to Lose wt but his general cavalier glib attitude. I sure do appreciate everyones support... I wish I knew other Washington state bariatric surgeons ..... Any suggestions? Thank you......

Had my first visit with the surgeon... It seriously took all my courage to get in there.... As I have been contemplating this for years....I found him to be cavalier and a fast talker.... He tod me about a patient he had that died with my BMI.....Telling me I will die without this but he's not willing to do it unless I lose at least 40 plus pounds and prove to him I'm serious.... I'm self pay... I'm so serious.... I feel shell shocked right now.....

I am seeking feedback please... I am having my first surgical consult on Monday ... One... What questions should I ask? Two .. I am considering a trip to Mexico for the surgery due to self pay and how expensive this surgery is in US.... But my concern then is follow up... For those who chose to go to Mexico ... Where did you do follow ups? Thank you.....
