Thank you all! There is no secret!! This is the first time in my life I am relaxed around food because no longer can I over eat.... Food is just food.... Energy.... While I can enjoy flavors.... My focus is different... My tastes are different.....no more worry over planning to stick with my diet and be good only to find something that tastes so good I just don't want to stop....I can not over eat... I am so grateful for Dr Aceves... My life has changed..... I welcome my baggy skin!!! Trying on clothes is great!! Tasting food at parties is enough.... I get full on the Costco samples!! No more knee pain !! No more shortness of breath!! These results are for everyone with the courage to step into the light of Vertical Sleeve!!

I sometimes walk by mirrors and have to do a double take!! I have had friends not recognize me if they haven't seen me in a while! I am filled with gratitude for Dr Aceves and his staff.... Six short months and I am down 160 lbs! No complications! I have not reached my goal yet but I am confident I will do so! My life is so much better now... I wish I had not waited so long!!

I am also a Dr Aceves happy camper!! I had mine 8-21-12!! It was the best decision I have ever made!!! I wish I would have done it years ago!! Dr Aceves and his organization was outstanding!!

Oops!! Also... I forgot to answer your question!! There was no pain no problems for me either post op or thru my recovery.... You will be in good hands with Dr Aceves and his team !

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr Aceves and his entire team! The entire experience felt like going to a spa! Everyone from beginning to end ... From physician to housekeepers were incredibly kind and nice and attentive. I have lost over 30 lbs this first month post op & never felt so hopeful that FINALLY my struggle with weight has hope to be successful in keeping the weight off ! In my opinion Dr Aceves is a humble and genuinely kind man and skilled surgeon. I have been an RN for 32 years and for me Dr Aceves has been such a blessing!

I had my surgery done 8.21.12 with dr Aceves . I was not a spinal but some of my hospital mates had spinals and reported that they were sleeping before the spinal was put in! As a nurse and a former spinal recipient when I had my C Sections that is so so nice to be sleeping before the spinal is done! In my opinion , just another reason to choose Dr Aceves and his team! The experience with Dr Aceves and his entire team from beginning to now with doing follow ups has been EXCELLENT CARE!!

Living well is the best revenge!! Go further and do better girl!!

Dr Bello us the plastic surgeon that works closely with Dr Aceves I have been told! When I am ready , I will return to mexicali without hesitation !

You will never be alone! Ramon picks you up and takes you strait to the hospital where Karla and Yolanda await you and walk you everywhere in the hospital you need to go For the pre ops! Then Ramon drives you to the lucerna hotel which is lovely and the bellhops take your luggage to your room! Just relax you will be in great hands!! Ramon picks you up at 7am and drives you to the hospital where you are met by Karla and Yolanda !! They are completely organized!!

Also.. There is another person scheduled that day too with Dr Aceves from this forum!! Frza!! I met speedbump from this forum while in hospital!! So you will have a sleeve buddy!! You will all hang out in each others rooms!! It's real fun!! Lol!!

Also!! Gaby just emailed me the hospitals recipe for the amazing chicken broth!! I'm headed to the grocery store today!! I'm making a big pot of their fabulous chicken broth!! Woot woot!!

All I can recommend ready2 b is to research the doctors and talk to their coordinators and former pts.... For me... I wanted to be in a real hospital not a recovery house and clinic and transported back and forth daily for the leak tests ... Dr Aceves for me was an excellent choice .... Good luck on your journey!! Hi so ready ! I am not familiar with dr verbonen but if it is anything near as organized and efficient as dr Aceves... You will be thrllled!! dr Aceves is so knowledgeable and kind .. I could not have had a better experience anywhere! His staff all were hugging me when I left... I feel I made lifelong friends!!

Hi Allie!! You are lucky!! How long ago did you have your vsg?! How are you doing?!

Both my best friend and I said it did feel like a vacation instead if a surgery!! I was so well taken care of!! Every detail attended to! I like that Dr Aceves has his own floor of the hospital so all the nurses know what they are doing! I like that they keep you in the hospital for three days and make sure every thing is as it should be... Then dc us on day 4 ! It was a wonderful experience!! dr Aceves is warm and kind... Dr Campos works with him and has had the VSG... So he is a fabulous resource !!
