  1. Totally there with you! During work, I'll think a few times about it! Thank goodness my work keeps me very busy so I don't have time to think about it! However, once I'm home, I think about it all the time. I'm on the sites reading and researching! I don't have a lot of patience either. I'm used to making up my mind- work or personal - and taking charge to make it happen. I don't have that same control over this process. So many hoops to jump thru. I'm sure that I will look back though and be grateful for the time that it allowed me to research and prepare mentally!
  2. Yay for u August! I'm pre-op so I can't really make any recommendations yet on what to get!
  3. Yes, good luck to you both! Keep us posted!
  4. What a wonderful feeling that must be! Congrats! Can't wait to have the same feeling in the future after I get approved!
  5. Thanks for the info! Wow, didn't realize ur surgery is Tuesday! I'll start following ur blog! Glad to know that someone else felt the same about enjoying food before the big event. I so dread that 2 week pre- op diet. I know it is going to be so hard! I'll be following ur updates on ur surgery! Good Luck with everything!
  6. Preparing for the pre-op diet? I can't seem to get my head around trying to do that but I should! I go to the last visit with the Nutrionist on the 25th and my appt with the surgeon is on 7/2. After that, they submit to the insurance to get approval and I will be able to get my date. I keep thinking that this is my last month to enjoy food so I haven't cut back. Do you think that is normal? Over the years, I have tried lots of diets! I know what it's going to take but just can't seem to do it now..... Knowing what's in my near future! . Good luck to you!
  7. Fantastic! Keep up the great job!
  8. Excited for you! Keep us posted! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  9. Welcome! You'll love this site! Amazing stories. I'm still going thru the approval process too! Good Luck!
  10. Welcome! So jealous that ur surgery is just around the corner! I can't wait to get thru all the approvals and to get a date! Best of luck!
  11. Love, love this thread! I agree with lots of things posted! Another biggie for me: be able to look at pictures of myself again! I hate taking pictures. I hate seeing the multiple chins... And, all of the other rolls!
  12. Souledout, stay positive! Listen to those positive self talks! You are on the journey to success to get these pounds off and be healthy! We can do this!

  14. I'm still pre-op, but I would be doing a happy dance if I were you! Great job!
  15. ?...............yes, unfortunately I'm in Iowa. I use my Husband's middle name for the screen name. Sorry for the confusion!
  16. I'm still pre- op but I've seen on the site that Nioxin shampoo is good to help slow down the loss. I actually used this years ago when I went on a crazy diet and started loosing hair. I have very thick hair and my stylist noticed as well. She is the one that recommended the Nioxin. I also took zinc but definitely check with ur doctor before doing that. I'm happy to say that my hair did grow back and is back to being thick again! Good luck!
  17. Awesome job! You look great!
  18. Great feedback from all. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us per-surgery folks!
  19. Congrats! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
