  1. If you have a nausea patch behind your ear, that could be the culprit! Those things gave me blurry vision and I got terrible headaches from the blurry vision. So that could MAYBE be it?
  2. I had my vsg on July 17th and just this past Monday, I noticed I can drink a lot more water at once..seriously even more than I could drink Sunday night! Its true that things really do change over night!! Its not a huge chug, but I can drink half of a 16.9 fl oz bottle at once! and it feels great!
  3. Congrats! And I know its hard to get it all in, but it gets better..I'm 40 days out (I have a ticker on my phone) and its so much easier now than it was at first!
  4. Thanks y'all! I will try some of these things and look for more recipes online!
  5. I need some meal ideas..I am so burnt out on everything I've had so far. chicken has been my go to food, but I need different things or different ways to cook chicken? I'm 5 weeks and 2 days post op, so I can eat solids now. Any ideas? I really want the weight to start coming off more! I think my stall just broke, down 3 more lbs but I want more to come off! Thanks!
  6. So, how many carbs, calories, etc. Are we supposed to have after the sleeve? I am 300lbs, 5ft 4 1/2 and female. So do those things matter? Also, what are we supposed to count mostly, carbs or calories or both? I just want to be a little smarter when it comes to knowing what to keep track of. I know I should already know these things, but...help? Please & thank you!
  7. I will be 5 weeks out tomorrow, and I am also very moody and b*tchy. I hope it goes away soon..I don't mean to be mean or hurt anyones feelings and I know I am not the nicest thing right now.
  8. So, I will be 5 weeks out on Tuesday 8/21. I have noticed that I have gained an appetite back..and I can eat anything I feel like I might want to try. (Still not eating fried or fast foods, though) I drink sweet tea. Water hurts and instantly nauseates me Crystal light burns my throat. I even feel like sometimes I over eat. I just feel like a huge failure right now. I'm super emotional and moody. I eat throughout the day, too..little bits at a time. Anyone else feel this way? And my scale is messed up, just bought it at Target and its totally off, even after setting it. So I don't know my weight. Ugh. I wanna cry All comments & feedback appreciated! Just don't be mean, please!
  9. Yep, the nausea patch caused major blurred vision for me. I read about it and took it off. Too bad I have a 50 dollar box of the patches, that I never even opened. :/
  10. Glad I'm not the only one! It hurts going down and its just not the same refreshing water like it use to be. Its kinda sad..I use to enjoy a cold bottle of water but not anymore. I even try room temperature and it still hurts. Crystal light scratches my throat so I don't know. Hopefully this will get better, seeing that I'm only 3 weeks post op.
  11. Thanks! I won't be lifting anything, I think I did too much today..so maybe it will be better tomorrow! I wish the healing process was quicker!!
  12. Is yours on and off, too? Like mine is worse with movements, but sometimes I can move around just fine with minor pain. And as for pain meds, I ran out of my liquid loratab around a week post op..so I don't know what to do. And yep, the ER visit is out of question for me..too much money already owed for the surgery itself as well! Hopefully we will be better soon!
  13. Thanks y'all, I will try a warm compress. Its an on and off pain, but when it comes, it HURTS! And right now, it is killing me!
  14. I am having a terrible pain around the incision to the left of my belly button! Its like a stinging pain and I can barely move when it hurts. It has been hurting on and off throughout post op (I will be 3 weeks post op on Tuesday) I expect pain, but I'm wondering what it is and when it will go away?
  15. I just think we should have a more supportive tone when we post things. Everybody has struggles. We are all adults, so we shouldn't stoop to catty internet arguments and negativity. Just agree to disagree and move on. Just MY opinion. Remember we are in this together, hence we are all members of the same site.
  16. Yes, for blood clots. I just had them while I was in the hospital, none before or after.
  17. Just wondering how long it took for the bruises from the Lovenox shots to go away? I had 3 shots, one for each day I was in the hospital. These bruises are big and yellow..and ugly. One even has a knot in it. My stomach looks a total mess between these 3 big bruises and my incisions. When will they go away??
  18. I'm right at 16 days post op, and have been wondering the same thing. No changes for me, yet..I expect things to start changing when I lose around 40 or 50 pounds..just my guess. I was about 40 lbs lighter last time I had a period. So I'm hoping it will be soon! Id like to know about others and when they were "regular" again, as far as periods, excess hair, etc.
  19. Hey! Its a restaurant, not sure if its a wide-spread or just local place? I loveee it, too!!
