  3. And now I have a surgery date!!!! March 6th! More happy dancing!
  4. So this morning, according to my scale I hit my "magic" number. Then I got a phone call from the PA to tell me I was approved and to call her back so she could schedule!!! Now I just have to wait for the office to open so I can call back to schedule!!! Doing a happy dance!!!!!!!
  5. I'll give you a WHOOT WHOOT and a HIGH FIVE AND a HAPPY DANCE!!!! So happy for you!!! Getting into Onderland is my main goal! Like you, I'm 5'10" and I can't wait to get there!!!
  6. I'm really trying, my coordinator said they are NOT very user friendly!! One time you call they tell you one thing, the next time they tell you something else!! I don't even care that it's not approved yet, but dang it don't get my hopes up!!!
  7. OR NOT!!! D**N IT! My insurance is driving me NUTS! I call and they say approved, but nope it was the Upper GI that I had done on 1/10 that was approved! WTH!!! SOOOO Frustrating!!! So I'm still waiting!
  8. After submitting to my insurance, who said it had to go through my medical group, and then the medical group says it has to go though insurance (United Healthcare) looks like I might really be approved!!! My coordinator is confirming then hopefully I'll be able to schedule a date!!! Whoo-Hoo!!!!
  9. WOW!!! You're a whole new person! And you look fabulous!!
  10. LOL...I'm pretty sure it's "women's"...but Wide might be more descriptive....
  11. JennyBeth, I totally know what you are saying. I saw the surgeon, nut and psych and now I guess I'm waiting for the psych report to come in so the surgeons office can submit to insurance for approval for surgery. I checked today and the psych report should be in this week. I should be happy because my surgeons office is on top of everything, but I just want to stomp my foot and get a surgery date. For me my frustration comes from not being able to do anything. (I have a few control issues ) I have done EVERYTHING they need, and now it's out of my hands. And all I can do it wait! UGH!!!
  12. No I wasn't approved yet. But just speaking to Dr. Jossart and his staff I am encouraged that this may be possible!
  13. I'm pre-op with Dr. Jossart. So far I have nothing but good things to say about him and his entire staff!! I'm traveling approx 1 1/2 hours to see him and they were able to coordinate my consultation, appt with the NUT, and appt with Psych on the same day so I didn't have to drive down twice! Hopefully my insurance approval will go smoothly, and I'll be scheduled for surgery soon!! I'll be watching your progress! Good Luck!
  14. ROCKSTAR!!!! I love it!!! You are in inspiration and I hope to be in your position in a few months myself!!!
  15. I'm right there with you. I'll add you to my own prayers!! Good Luck!
  16. From what I have heard, I think it's more from the weight of your organs. When you are heavy your organs get bigger to accomodate the extra blood volume etc needed to support your size. From what I understood when you lose weight the organs don't necessarily shrink back down. That might account for the added weight. I'm not sure, don't quote me or anything....
  17. WOW! You look great, and congrats on going back to school!! Sounds like you are getting your life back!!
  18. I'm right there waiting with you! Just checked in with my surgeons office. She said she needs one more report then she'll put it through insurance! Many prayers going up that insurance is kind and will approve with no problems!! I'll add a prayer for you too!
  19. WOW!! You look amazing!! Congrats...Keep working that sleeve!
  20. If you mix cottage cheese with yogurt it makes more of a thicker yogurt. Seems to mask the cottage cheese taste some.
  21. Amazing! You look like a different person...I'm sure you feel that way too!!! Keep it up!
  22. After feeling like I was basically lower than dirt on the bottom of a shoe for regaining all of the weight I lost with the band after it was removed. (Thanks so a not very sympathetic doctor). And then having to change insurance companies in the middle of the process and thus change doctors. I finally got to see a new surgeon yesterday. Dr. Jossart and his entire staff were absolutely great!! So positive and helpful with everything. Never made me feel like the band failure was my fault and made it sound like getting my sleeve is a real possiblilty! They also coordinated everything so yesterday, I was able to get my upper GI, meet with the surgeon, meet with the NUT and the Psych...all in one day!!! So now I guess it's up to my new insurance. Fingers crossed and lots of prayers that I can sail thru insurance and get this scheduled. I can't wait!!!
  23. Hi There! Just wondering how you're doing now that you're a week out!??? Hope all is well!
  24. Whoo Hoo!!!! Do you have any before and after/during pictures. I am also 5'10" and I'm having a hard time visualizing what that looks like (I haven't been under 200 in 25 years). I just can't imagine that!! Doing a little happy dance for you!
