  1. I'm in the 6 month process for my insurance to approve (BCBS) I'm just wondering can my insurance deny my procedure if I gain weight during the 6 month period??? just curious did anyone go through this??
  2. LOL I thought I was the only one that didn't like it. I was thinking I was being picky.
  3. I made it exactly how you did and to me it was awful and I love chicken soup. That did not taste like chicken soup unless we did something wrong lol
  4. for all that had sleep Apnea before suregery has it improved after the weight loss or is it still the same. Thanx for your responses
  5. Thanx yes im getting all taken care of for when the time comes
  6. LOL I hear you. My process is slow due to the 6 month of monitored diet I'm going for my 2 month weight in next week, I had my 1st surgeon consultation and he did pre-op testing on me i'm guessing the will be re-done when my 6 month are done. I'm strating the support groups which is also required by my insurance so as you can see I have a long way to go I'm here learning every day from you guys and hoping to be sleeved asap.
  7. That's do great to hear I have not been sleeved but started my process. I'm glad u were able to get back to work fine. I'm the sole provider for my house and that is something that I fear having complications and having to miss work. congrats on your quick recovery.
  8. Thanx mamasez I am having more water and veggies but I will also try the protein and see how it goes
  9. Did anyone get pregnant within the 2 years after surgery??? I know we are not suppose to get pregnant but would like to hear of others that went through this how was it? did you gain alot of weight? was the baby healthy? did you lose the baby weight? Sorry for all the questions other than a healthier me I was told by my doctors It's dangerous to get pregnant at my weight (280 pounds) I haven't been pregnant and would like to hear from you guys Thanx for your responses
  10. Thanx Vsgchichi I think the not being able to eat those things again also has a part on these crazy cravings but your advise it's great I will try that and see how it goes
  11. So I'm doing the 6 month weight in and monitored diet. My PCP did not give me a diet "Per Se" just told me to go in a weight my self always around the same time as my first weight in. Problem is I can't stop carving everything I see... don't get me wrong I'm controlling my portions and watching what I eat but I sometimes give in to the desire and eat the craziest things for example I did good all day yesterday but when I got home for dinner all I wanted was French Fries with ketchup (usually I don't eat fried food) ... did anyone go through this?? any wise words on how to control this anxiety?? I want to at least lose 20 pounds before surgery I don't know what to do
  12. Best of luck to ya!! sending out a prayer for you and all that are having surgery today keep us posted

  16. I send a prayer out for you and anyone else having bariatric surgery today best of luck keep us posted can't wait to be on the other side with you.
  17. Thanx Smileen my doctor did not give me a diet but told me to try to monitored what I eat he knows I need the surgery and finds it silly to make someone wait that long but he is so nice in working with me I hope time goes by fast
  18. What it's more frustrating to me is this 6 month wait it's killing me I can't wait to have my surgery date already
  19. Ohh ladies don't get me wrong I don't care what they think my doctor did not give me any specifics on what to eat but I am keeping checks on what I eat these days to prep for surgery. In my office I could not keep it a secret cause they are always offering me food so I had to say something to make that stop. But how annoying it gets when your eating and eventhough they try to hide it you can feel eyes watching you from the side when they pass.
  20. I work at a small but very successful company it's only 8 of us in the office. I had to tell my boss that I was going to start a program to lose weight because I had to do the 6 Month for the insurance company. I don't know if i regret this because now my boss is always asking how i'm doing (wish I don't mind) but I notice that the other employees now tend to look over when I'm eating as if to see if I'm following the diet It's so uncomfortable. They still don't know I'm having surgery I have just started this journey my secont weight in is in May I truly don't know how I'm going to handle the wait and the constant people looking over me to see if I'm sticking to the diet :/ Did anyone have to go through this??
  21. Oh wow sorry for the loss of your grandmother... So I guess they just basically do the weight in and that's it thanx for your response
  22. Yes, my surgeon also gave me a form that my PCP has to fill out but the PCP did not put me on a specific diet plan just told me to come in and get my weight in.
