the day is here amazingly enough I am very calm and not nervous lets hope tomorrow I remain the same. I'm really exited to start this new journey in my life. and I know all is well because I have God by my said. Wish me luck

Just got the call from my insurances company and my surgery was approved yayyy lets hope all goes well and my surgery is not reschedule due to all the craziness in the city with the hurricane.

WOW YES IT'S ALMOST HERE!!!

As an update I have been training my bosses Grandaugther and she is a sweetheart I had that talk with my boss and he said he just wants me to train her so she can help and get so knowledge of the type of job that I do because he want to find a part time job for her when she goes back to college (she is 21 years old). So all seems well and my job should be back when I am ready hopefully all will be well and I will be back in 10 days

I like this Idea I'm going to give it a try

I will have a word with him today to go over these issues trust me all of this has gone through my mind today.

Yes I know I already requested a talk with the boss hopefully he will have some time before I end the day to talk to him.

I will basically leave everything in place covered for my 2 weeks. she is a temp and they want her here in case I take more than 2 weeks which i'm not planning to take longer than that but you never know. I just freaked out in the moment when he said it and did not know what to make of it.

Thank you guys all these things have crossed my mind sitting here at my desk. I don't believe there is a reason that they would want to get rid of me and they are all so very nice to me. I guess I felt insecure when he said that to me and feared that I would lose my job I already send a message to my boss to have a talk with me on the training of his Grandaugther and I will discuss my concerns with him. I guess all the emotions are getting to me since I'm so close to surgery maybe he is just trying to be nice but since i'm so emotional lately with the prepping for surgery and everything that it hit me so strong. I'm hoping for the best Thank you guy I love this forum because you guys give great advice and know where a person is coming from.

So I get the morning call from the boss as always before he comes in. And today he tells me how his happy I'm getting this surgery and that is 100% supporting my desicion for doing this. Then he tells me that he knows I'm going to be away for 10 days but since he know how surgeries are and the mayor toll it takes on an individual ("he had a kidney transplant and removal also cancer in the stomach so he has been through hell and back") he wants to bring his Granddaugther as a Temp until I come back and he wants me to train her on my daily routine (I'm and office administrator). He was very nice told me that even though I'm not perfect they all love me in the office and I'm good at what I do (it's a family owned business there is only 8 of us here) and they want me to be healthy and come back that my job will be waiting for me when I'm ready. They truly are great people and very understanding but I don't know what to make of this I would be devasted if I loss my job with this new life and all the expenses that come with it plus all my othere expenses rent, bills, etc etc etc. I really don't know what to think just needed to let out before I do or say something stupid and make a fool out of myself in the office. One thing I can tell you I'm not turning back now my day is Nov 5th and this is not going to stop me. But I'm truly concern :( :'( :'(

I got my date yesterday and this was one of the questions I had for my Surgeon he said it will be fine and if there is a flare up it's just like the normal flare ups we normally have so she should be fine give her a big congratulations for beginning her new life

After 6 month of waiting I finally got my date. I'm very exited and nervous at the same time I feel I have so much to do in so little time. to all the ones still doing the six month diet program keep going even though it feels far away it really is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER

Thank you so much for you replies I just want to be ready for what's coming no matter what it is My asthma is not as bad as before so I only carry my inhalor with me so i'm hoping for the best

Hey guys quick question did anyone have a problem coming out of anesthesia and having asthma. i'm getting my surgery date this week and that's something that is concerning me. I've never been in surgery before.

I went to my pcp's office yesterday he said not to worry about it he did an initial check up with weight/BP and temperature at the beginning and yesterday. So all is good lets just hope the don't come back saying they wanted this for all six month.
