  3. I am so excited....finally in Onederland. This mornings weight is 199.6#. I have not been under 200# in at least 27 yrs I weighed 271# when I began the whole sleeve process in April, 2012 The sleeve was the best thing I've done. It has totally changed my life. Your weight really does have an effect on so many areas of life. My attitude, outlook and overall disposition has drastically changed. Not just because of #'s going down but because I feel so much better and can do so many more things. Thanks to Dr Curry and his staff and to my friend who introduced me to the Gastric Sleeve procedure

    Bread?

Smileen....I hear bout the peanut butter. I keep those individual packets of Jif with me at all times. May be a little high in fat but the protein is great and it makes a great snack. I'm gonna have to try it with bananas
  6. Am 11 days post op and am on soft food stage. I have been day dreaming about scrambled eggs with shredded pepper jack cheese all day so for supper that is what I made. OMG!! I couldn't even eat 2 bites. I became so nauseous and almost threw up...the taste was wonderful but I just couldn't eat anymore of it because of the nausiousness. Early this afternoon I had about a tsp of peanut butter and about 1/2 hr later got several pain in the left side of my neck and shoulder area. I knw this sounds so weird but was wondering if anyone has experienced any of this before. I was so disappointed because I wanted those eggs o bad but sure wasn't liking to pay the price.

    Any Ideas On Full Liquids

I had mine done April 19th and my 1 wk follow up today. NUT said I was ready for creamed soups which I stopped at Bob Evans got their cheesy potatoe out strained. It was yummy....she also suggested cooked veggies put in blender with pat of butter and salt and purée...I am in 7 th heaven now since I can actually get some flavorful tasting foods. However she said that I prob could only eat 1/4 cup but I was able to eat 1/2 cup within bout 35-40 min with no prob.
  8. Had my one week post op appt today. Incisions are healing nicely and I am finally able to advance to creamy and puréed foods. We stopped at Bob Evans and I got cheesy potato soup strained. Could only eat bout 1/4 cup but let me tell you it was delish!!!! I have lost total of 23.4 lbs inc weight loss on pre op. weight of initial consult 271.6 weight on day of surgery 255 and weight today 248.2. Not bad for three weeks. I was expecting more but NUT explained there is still gas and still very swollen insides.

    Protein Powder Question

I also just bought some protein powder from GNC. The clerk was very helpful in explaining there are different types of protein powder. He said that "isopure" whey powder is all pure and the granules will totally dissolve to be just like liquid if that how you like it or you can add other ingredients such as ice, peanut butter and other fruit. Blend it all and still no lumps The cheaper brands have so much additives he said that they not break down. The powder whey protein he showed me came in choco, strawberry, vanilla, Oreos and creme, and banana cream. I bought banana flavor. Haven't tried yet but will let you know how it works
  10. I am 2 days post op nothing was said during my discharge about protein but I know I prob should start it now. Any suggestions on liquid protein drinks I don't think I should do the shakes at this time
