I understand completly as when I first spoke to my husband about this subject he was dead set against it . I waited for a good time to approach him and get him on board , He finally did however called me from work ( he is a police officer ) and said one of the officers had the lap band and mentioned that their is a higher divorce rate when WLS is concerned . It took a while however the insecurity is there .. I am 37 and have been with my husband since I was 14 , I just made it clear that I only want to experience this with him to make a better us ... My 6 months is up middle of august , However my surgeon will be on vacation the end of august so I am looking to the begining to mid sept for mine , I am so ready for this ..... Come on one more month until I get approved and a firm date , My stats are 37 yrs old , 5'1, 230 ... Goal weight 130 ....

Ok just finished speaking to my Benefit rep and Cigna (3 way phone call ) they have instructed me to appeal through my insurance carrier , which will take 30-45 days , then if Cigna denies me again ... then I have to appeal through my employer ... another 30 days ... That is almost the 3 months I had to wait to re-submit , with that said I will just wait the 3 months... Hey, I at least tried and feel better that I did ...

Thank you all , I know you guys are right.... I was so prepared, I will take it day by day and start to work on the new me as suggested by Patrick ... I just hope that at the end of the 6 months I am approved with no issues ....

I was scheduled for July 9th and I just received a call from my surgeons office that Cigna denied me due to a clause the company I work for has on their policy , Cigna was just recently changed to 3 months from 6 months well according to them my workplace has a cause of 6 months ... so even tho Cigna changed the clause on the company policy is 6 months ..... I am so frustrated that I feel like just giving up ...I know its only another 3 months however its always something ..... feeling depressed

Hi everyone , July 9th is my date ..... So excited for everyone here ... soon we will be on the losers bench as well .....

I also chose to not tell anyone at work , My mom , husband and kids know and that is basically it , I get sleeved in July however started letting everyone at work know that I am seeing a dietician and going to the gym everyday at lunch so to them I will be loosing weight that way .....

That is what I plan on purchasing , Brazilian Butt lift ..... I have heard great reviews about this ..., good luck

I too am waiting on CIgna , My paperwork was submitted last tuesday 5/29 , I also am anxious to hear back .... However what number do you call to make sure they received the paperwork ? I am just nervous as well

Justsleeveme23 , I also looked at the policy but where you write its on top of page 2 ( Medical management including evidence of active participation within the last 12 months in a weight-management program that is supervised either by a physician or a registered dietician for a minimum of three consecutive months. ) is talking about a weight management program .... However the next bullet states the 6 months A thorough multidisciplinary evaluation within the previous six months which includes ALL of the following:  an evaluation by a bariatric surgeon recommending surgical treatment, including a description of the proposed procedure(s) and all of the associated current CPT codes  a separate medical evaluation from a physician other than the requesting surgeon that includes both a recommendation for bariatric surgery as well as a medical clearance for surgery  unequivocal clearance for bariatric surgery by a mental health provider  a nutritional evaluation by a physician or registered dietician "
