  6. Called Cigna today and bad news! Im denied. They are requesting a peer review with my doctor. Has anyone with the same issue and was approved after the medical peer review?
  7. Last week of Sept. Dr. Michael Schweitzer Johns Hopkins medical center!!!
  8. Just called cigna and still pending; however the cust. Serv rept toldr that the doctor submitted for hernia repair?? I have a hernia but cigna didnt mentioned about vsg.
  9. My paperwork was submitted to cigna on Monday and called today for an update and they told the medical director had the case for last review. Its that bad or god???

  13. I also have Cigna and the insurance coordinator at my surgeon told me that cigna still req 6 months diet however i called cigna and they told that as 5/2012 they just req 3 months. She insisted in the 6 months. Any thoughts?? Thanks! Jessie

  15. I am going Johns Hopkins and they only require 24 hrs prior to surgery as well. Blessings, Karen
  16. Hi! I just had the first visit with Dr. Schweitzer (Johns Hopkins Bariatric Center). He explained the process, risk , pros, act. I will meet with the Nut next month to start all the process. I asked if i need any pre op diet and furtunately Hopkins doesn't required any pre op diet only the day prior to surgery. I did my homework and call cigna for the new requirements and the goods news the change the supervised diet to three months instead of six! Wish me luck! Karen

  19. Hi! My PCP suggested VSG because i'm 344 pounds and just developed type 2 diabetes. I live in Maryland very close to Johns Hopkins and my insurance covers 100% the procedure. Any feedback from those who has been sleeve there? Thanks! Kadive
