  1. Good luck, surgery is not bad. Just remember to get up and start walking as soon as they will let you. Walking is the best thing to get rid of the gas they fill you up with.
  2. Does anyone use the fitbit with my fitness pal? I would like to try it but it cost about $100 so I want to know how it works before I spend any money on it.
  3. I love my fitness pal, I am eahalstead. Feel free to add me.
  4. Find a local seminar on the lap band and go to that. It should be your first step. You will get to find out all about how it works and if it is right for you. You will also get to ask questions of the doctor. You need to decide if it is right for you, it's just a personal choice. Read the posts on here and other sites and do your research. The fills are something you need to do. My cousin is 4 years out and only sees the doctor once a year now, I am 3 months post-op and I see the doctor monthly.
  5. I don't think there is one number for everyone. I was told 1000 or under, my brother was told 1600 by the same doctor and dietitian. I think it is based on your size, your goals and your activity level.
  6. I noticed it in my face first. I went to a local day spa and had a skin firming facial and it did help. They recommended I come back once a month. I cost me $40 so I may have a few more but not once a month.
  7. It will get better, heating pad and walking were the only things that helped me. Walk as much as you can.
  8. You look great, you should be so proud of all of your hard work!
  9. I have not tried the pancakes but the Bariwise bars are good, they are just pretty small for the price you pay for them.
  10. Wow you really are eating a small number of calories and burning a huge amount, great job!
  11. I just had my 3rd fill too. I do really have to chew, chew, chew!
  12. Keep us posted on how you do!
  13. I just got my 3rd fill. I had only lost 4 lbs last month, so I think you are doing great!
  14. I drink right up until I start to eat then wait about an hour after I eat to drink again. A girl in my support group uses 2 water bottles a day and labels them with times she has to drink them by. She marks one line 9am, another 11am then by 1pm she needs to finish that bottle. Her 2nd bottle is marked 2, 3, and 5. She gets in the fluids while at work, stays hydrated and drinks more in the afternoon keeps her from afternoon hunger.
  15. The pain meds made me feel sick too. Lots of ice and a heating pad were the only things that helped me. Good luck.
  16. Like most people I come here to find support not criticism from others. Thanks for posting the soup!
