  1. I wore a 40 DD before being banded 3 months ago. Now I am a 38 C and wearing cute, strapless tops and dresses.
  2. I am praying that all goes well and you will be banded soon. Please keep me posted.
  3. 20 lbs, that's great. There really isn't a normal because everybody is different. Some lose a lot in the beginning. The average is 1-2 lbs per week.
  4. Pandabear, when are you getting banded?
  5. Congratulations on your weight lost. It only gets better!
  6. At today's weigh in I was 238 lbs. I have not weighed that since 2005. My highest weight was 291. That's a loss of 53 lbs. Slowly losing but keeping it off. 220's here I come.
  7. That is a big deal. Congratulations.
  8. My first fill was 4 cc's and my second fill was 3 cc's. Still NO RESTRICTIONS YET!!!!!!! Going for my 3rd fill next Friday.
  9. My surgeon said that flying should not affect my band all.
  10. My surgeon said that flying should not affect my band all.
  11. I have lost a total of 50lbs since my birthday last year. I could not be happier. I look GOOD!
  12. I can remember about 3 years ago when my chart stated that I was morbidly obese. I was devastated.
  13. It is also called an abdominal binder. I wore one after my surgery for abdominal support. I would not have made it through my recovery without it. They can be purchased at Walmart.
  14. Banded 4/3/12. Had a Long Island Tea last night. The onlt difference is, I got tispy quicker. I didn't get sick. I had a good time.
  15. Go Jenny, It's your Birthday. Congratulations!
  16. I was banded on 4/3/12. I went through and array of emotions. Fear, anxiety, excitement, and frustration. My fear was what if I failed yet again. I tried and failed soooo many diets. Anxiety about the pain during recovery. Excitement when I lost 4 dress sizes and was able to wear clothes that I haven't wore in years. Frustration when after 2 fills, I still didn't have restriction. Today, I am in the yellow/light green zone. I am very happy with my band. Your fears are normal but please don't allow it to hinder your success. My advice is to share your fears with your doctor, attend support groups, and continue to utilize this site. My only regret is not getting banded years ago. Feeling healthier and having more energy trumps any amount of pain that I experienced during recovery.
  17. Update: I now can walk 2 miles in 36 minutes. I also increased to 3 miles which took me 58 minutes. Wow, I would of NEVER thought that I could/would walk 3 miles.
  18. Talk to your doctor about it. Different things can cause the band to tightened such as the weather, etc. Your doctor is the best person to help you determine if you need an unfill or not.
