  1. I can put carrots in the blender right?
  2. Wheetsin, I've got to know which ones you ordered? How much r they and what's your fav?
  3. Aww man, hate bananas. Thanks Amy.
  4. I am starting my fourth week. Wanted to try peaches, strawberries, cherries, and pineapple. Each recipe has very little. Maybe I could try peaches or cherries then, no seeds and not acidic right?
  5. I have been tolerating protein shakes, but getting so sick of them. I'm trying different kinds but each is worse than the next. I would like to do some of eggface's protein shake recipes. I'm on mush, can I put the fruit in my food processor and add it in my protein shake? I don't want to use it as a meal but a way to get those protein drinks down.
  6. Yeah buddy!
  7. That's great atkins. I'm down about 20. I feel almost myself, just tired.
  8. My breasts feel sore. I'm not pregnant or close to TOM. Anyone else feel this way?
  9. My nut gave me tons of samples. I can take iron in a multi-vitamin or separately, but be careful not to take iron with calcium. I also take omega-3, vitamin D, biotin, and get a B12 shot. I like the bariatric vitamin caramel calcium citrate. I also take a chewable omega-3 from BA. I have a multi-complete vitamin from celebrate, but I don't care for it so I am taking a gummie multi and vitamin D I purchased at target. I doubt my nut would like that because "the only vitamins they recommend are celebrate and BA." Lots of people here take gummies though.
  10. Hey all the single ladies. I've been single most of my life, a boy or 3 here and there, even a few serious relationships, but never married. I haven't had low self esteem as an adult, but definitely in high school and college. I'm looking forward to more attention. The best part of being single on a diet is no temptation food and not having to cook something I can't eat for a family. What is the best part for you?
  11. Maybe if it's the only thing you do that day. I've been on the couch the past two hours, took a nap, and am still exhausted. A roomful of ten year olds all day long tires my poor sleeve.
  12. Hello. I was sleeved on the 3/29 by Dr. Bernie Hanna. He has a support group, you may go even if he's not your doctor. I asked for thistimeisit. Next 2 meetings are at desert springs hospital 10 am May 12 and June 9. I think I'm out of town both those days. So maybe I'll meey some of you July 14. You can also google las vegas bariatrics for more dates. Please let me know of any other local groups or sleeve events. I'm thinking a clothing party would be fun!
  13. I am 3 weeks out today. I went back to work 10 days post-op. I'm a teacher. I'm usually tired after work. I do get in all my proteins, vitamins, and liquids. I can bend over slowly. Sometimes my incisions still ache. I would say it depend on your healing process, everyone is different. I know personally I have no energy after work and can't bend easily, so an easy routine might be doable.
  14. For those who lost their boobs, did you always Have them, even when you were young or did they appear as you gained weight with age? What about your family? I have always had big boobs. My first bra was a c cup at 9 years old. I come from a line of this. When I was at my heaviest they were an H, but they've been around since puberty.
  15. I'm a little over 2 weeks, on mush. I had visitors in town this weekend so ate out. Over 4 days at various restaurants I had: beans, salmon, chicken and tofu mix only from a lettuce wrap order. I ordered a no carb chicken bowl for delivery. I put the grilled chix and cooked veggies in the processor and ate 3 tbs. Check out the soups and side dishes. I had to sit and watch them eat and it was hard. Planning ahead is a good idea. You could always bring your own food. I stuffed canned tuna in my purse just in case.
  16. I agree it's difficult to know. I'm trying to listen to my body. Sometimes I burp or hiccup. I do find the slower I eat the more I can eat. My burp comes even ten minutes after I stop, so slow is best. Today was the first time I angered it, I ate 2tbs chicken, 1 tbs veggies, and was going for mashed potatoes because my eyes wanted them. It was fine until the last two bites, I ate way too fast and it hurt. I thought I might throw up or get slimes, I didn't know what I had done. My esophugus hurt and I may have had reflux or heartburn so I laid down and got through it. It wasn't that bad, but lesson learned.
  17. Thanks kim, I'm trying to enjoy my wine in tiny sips. Drinking water in between, like my mom taught me, lol.
  18. I lost 70 pounds doing southbeach two years ago. I came to a revelation that might help you. Plus size clothing is different than regular sizes. I can wear plus sizes for a differentiation of like 20 pounds, but my skinny friends need new sizes within a 5~10 pound difference. You need to focus on other nsv. How do you feel? Can you sit more comfortably, say in an airplane seat? You're doing amazing, you will drop sizes shortly.
  19. I really want to cry right now, but since I'm in public I have to vent to my support system. I told my sister she needed to eat before we left the house and went to a winery. Of course she doesn't listen to me. I can't have a bite because it hasn't been 30 minutes since my last drink and I planned on drinking sips at a wine tasting, perfect, tiny sips. Since I'm the younger sister and I am the one who lives here I can't possibly know we are driving an hour away to a town with one restaurant. So here we are. Her and her bff are enjoying a meal and wine and I have to watch. Damn a fly is now in my wine glass.
  20. How is everyone doing? I am feeling okay, maybe a little more tired. I am trying to recognize my full feeling. I think it is a burp and/or hiccup. The last two days my side hurt so I"m trying to figure out that as well. How is everyone else feeling?
  21. Whooz, I'm sorry about your father. Today my sister, her bff, and I went to a Vera Bradley event. It was fun, it did include two meals. Her size 0 friend was so supportive. I kept asking her for advice on what to eat and where I could get protein. I filled my plate with only what I could eat, but knew I was taking too large of amounts, I guess I wanted to see a larger plate. I stopped when I was full and had my plate taken immediately. For dinner I pureed some chicken. I think being together all day really showed my sister how much work this is for me. Plus since her bff praised me on the process I think she's starting to see I have so much to re-learn. Hopefully, next month when I see my sister again she will be proud of how I look and help me tell my parents.
  22. Thanks Indy. I want to treat my sleeve well, but right not I feel a little guilty and am not sure if I should. I'm trying to listen to my body.
  23. I am two weeks post-op. Doc said 2 weeks of full solids now too weeks of mush/puree. I don't know the difference between mush and soft foods. I have visitors right now so we've been out all day long and have eaten at a few restaurants. I had chicken lettuce wraps but only ate the chicken and tofu part which is cut up super small. I had some baked beans, tuna, salmon, scrambled eggs, and mashed potatoes. This has been the past 4 days. I feel fine, just tired. Everything went down and I stopped when I burped and/or hiccuped. Is my eating okay or am I doing something wrong?
