  1. Mmmmm.. string cheese. It's more having a texture that I miss than any particular item, but definitely going to play it slow.
  2. OMG You dont know how good hummus and crackers sounded although I might avoid the crackers. I'm pre op (surgery on Monday) and just wondering what/when everyone is eating. On my surgeons website mushies are allowed between two weeks and six weeks. I am sure that means it varies for each but as soon as I can on week two I will try it out or wait, depending on how I feel.
  3. What are all the foods and food ideas for the mushie stage? Thanks, I will be taking notes
  4. Well I called again and spoke to someone else. They gave me the right answers. I was approved.
  5. Besides finding a workout partner that has had weightloss surgery you need true people on your side that won't hate on you or have anything negative to say.
  6. I'm on day one of my pre-op liquid diet and I want to know to know after how many weeks whether if you started way before surgery or after did just liquids alone become easier. Btw I know I can have SF jello in the clear stage after surgery, but in the preop liquid phase do you know if I can have it now, including yogurt. I forgot to ask my surgeon.. Darn!
  7. My question is how long was it until you can lift them in/out of the crib? Looks like he will be sleeping in my bed until I can lift. Anyone remember the rule on when you can lift. My LO is 33 lbs, almost two.
  8. Thanks. I ended up buying from the bariatric food source. They had a flat rate.
  9. Do you know how much shipping is, because I dont feel like created a profile if its like 10 for shipping. I saw these on Amazon its a bit more though.
  10. I decided mixing it up would help this liquid diet stage be bearable so I decided to buy some chicken soup protein mixes. Besides unjury what else do you know of and where can I get them for cheap? I am also looking to get unjury cheap as well.
  11. All of the paperwork were given on Monday (hopefully) so I wanted to see if my surgery was approved. I called them up and they said only the doctor would know. Is yours the same? I find that so strange. When should I call them up?
  12. I would have preferred knowing at the beginning so I would be prepared. I also would have did things different, perhaps have my doctor enter additional stuff on my clearance in BOLD. Oh well glad it didnt take to long. What did you have to do to win your case?
  13. No I have not called my insurance because the reps don't know anything. The last time I spoke to them, they told me it is covered if medically necessary and said the doctor will explain to me the requirements. I will see if I can get it in writing and mailed to me. There is nothing more I can do at this point. I might call tomorrow to see if I need to get something else from my doctor in writing, but I have followed all that was required to a t.
  14. She rushed me off the phone. She asked if I had breathing problems, I said yes. Shh*t... I'm fat. I told her about my pre-diabeties. So she said she would add that in. I mean its like a week from my scheduled surgery and its now shes asking me this. OR seeing this? Im sure she can make it look nice to get some approval I mean damn. I told her that I can't walk as far compared to my former skinny self, so lets see. She rushed me off the phone the second time we spoke so I think she knows what do, or was eager to go home (it was near 4 pm.) I have no clue what my cholesterol is, I just took all my tests and she should see everything in her face if she is doing her job right, but based on everything now. I am uncertain of that.
  15. So now that my H Pylori is cleared and its time to submit today, NOW the admin person that submits the paperwork calls and tells me that I might not get approved because my insurance is a difficult insurance and I have no comorbidities . Mind you this is month six, my clearance letter with all my stats was handed to her since the 5th of this month. Keep in mind I am 150lbs heavier than my ideal weight. She had at least two in a half weeks to look at my file and see if I did or didnt and if that would matter. Keep in mind I qualified according to the documentation they gave me six months ago. There was nothing indicating anything else. So if I was 500 lbs with no comorbiditiies I still might not be able to get approved?! WTW?! So I called her back and told her/reminded her that I am prediabetic so she will add that in. I mean seriously?!
  16. Well really its five pounds in eight days but would prefer to lose it by friday. My official liquid diet starts friday, but I started a partial liquid diet today. For those who did three day liquid diets how much did you lose?
  17. The only reason I am considering doing it sooner than later because of my current size. I read somewhere that once your boobies are a certain size insurance approval might be easier. However I am going to find out if thats the case because if not I will probably wait. Not sure though.
  18. Any pre ops having their surgery this month or in August?
