6 DAYS!
What really helped me out with this same feeling was watching funny YouTube videos from sleevers (my fave is Clusie). I needed a little humor added to all the seriousness that comes with life-altering surgery. Good luck to you!

Halloween Challenge!
I don't think I made it on the spread sheet last week, but checking in today at 248.4 lbs

Go-to sleevey snack
Ok, thanks. The goal would obviously be to plan for three meals on schedule, but unfortunately with work and a toddler, things don't always go as I plan. So, trying to prepare in advance for anything. Thanks for the tips everyone!!!

Go-to sleevey snack
Oo! I love grilled chicken--great idea! P3 sounds like a good on-the-go snack, too (which is VERY helpful).

What is this "P3" you speak of??? #newbie

Go-to sleevey snack
Ok, thanks all. Some good ideas here. I'm nervous about the liquid stages, but I think I might need to steal my toddlers sippy cup cooler and throw a shake in my over-stuffed work bag.... Or maybe I just drink it warm...meh, idk.

Go-to sleevey snack
Ok, that's a bad play on "Scooby Snacks" but whatever... I've heard a lot about the sense of urgency people get if they forgot to eat and need to eat ASAP. But, what do you keep on hand in case your stuck without options? Like, a meeting goes over and it's time to eat? Do you have a protein bar? It seems like that would be too filling. And what if you haven't graduated to that? Do you just cart around a warm protein shake? Trying to be prepared and set myself up for success. TIA!!

Yoga post-op
Thanks @@Smills, it sounds like cardio is really the way to go at first.

Yoga post-op
Thank you, @OKCPirate. I'm really hoping to strengthen my core asap because I have severe back problems that can only be helped with losing belly weight and strengthening my core. I thought yoga would be my best route, but I can see where that might do more harm than good in the beginning.

Yoga post-op
Well that's a bummer it didn't help your skin! I'm glad to hear you were able to do it so soon, though. Thanks for the advice!

Yoga post-op
@@roundisashape, know some Yoopers, eh? I'm not THAT far North, but still unpredictable. I hadn't heard of those videos, I'll have to look it up. Thanks! @@krista132 Glad to know it's recommended for loose skin, definitely want to combat that!! Thanks!

Yoga post-op
Thanks @@roundisashape! Did you try other exercises that were less painful in the beginning? I feel like walking is what everyone does at the beginning, but I'm getting my sleeve in October...in Michigan... Going outdoors in the fall here can be a bit tricky at times.

Yoga post-op
Has anyone had luck with yoga post-op with the sleeve? How soon did you try it? I've enjoyed yoga-infused workouts in the past and am excited to get back into it. I know it's low impact, but not certain about what the wait time might be for the stretching required. TIA!

Michigan Sleevers
Yes, I'd like to make it happen--whether through Dr Gs office or online--but I'm in Lansing, unfortunately. Fortunately, though, I think there are some around here, too.

Michigan Sleevers
I wish I was closer so I could go to more than required, but it's just not an option being so far away. Thanks for the well-wishes, maybe I'll see you around!!

Michigan Sleevers
Thanks @@newme101415, how did those go for you? I'm doing the NUT class, consult and seminar all in one day and psych eval in my hometown (out-of-town patient), and I'm hoping to minimize my trips to Muskegon. How was the support group meeting? Did you only have to do one?
