  1. Ugh, pretty beat up, but excited to start this journey!
  2. I just had surgery yesterday and they emphasized that I couldn't get the flu shot for 3 weeks.
  3. I'm on day 2 and going home today. So far, so good. Really couldn't ask for a better experience and I'm excited to start this new journey!
  4. 11 tomorrow for me!!!! Seems surreal!
  5. Congrats!! That's amazing!! (And yay, Pure Michigan!)
  6. I have been on all liquids since 9/30 and I can see it really negatively effecting my mood. I think if I were able to have one healthy meal a day, it would have been a total game changer--so much easier! But, I've lost 14 lb, so I feel good about that. Wednesday can't come soon enough!
  7. Good luck to everyone getting sleeved tomorrow!!!
  8. Good luck to those of you getting sleeved tomorrow!!
  9. Welp, I wasn't perfect, but I still did pretty good. Thanks for your tips!
  10. I can say that in my many diet attempts, I did an Herbalife 8-week challenge twice and both times I was second place to a girl that was losing incredibly fast. I thought it was because she had a lot to lose and you drop fast, etc. By the time the third challenge rolled around, I signed up but I was so defeated that I wasn't doing as well as this other girl doing the same diet as me, that I fell off the wagon hard and gained it all back. That's not her fault, it's mine, but later I found out she had sleeve surgery and wasn't even using the product, she just wanted to win the challenge prize. I was FURIOUS and disassociated myself with everyone who knew. Your decision to compete might not only upset the people in the competition, but effect their weight loss journey. Just some food for thought.
  11. Sorry, should have mentioned that my preop diet is liquids only. Stomach issues is a good one though. Hopefully no one notices (no alcohol + stomach problems = pregnancy assumptions).
  12. October 14 here! Pre-op diet has been brutal, but I'm finally embracing it. I've been using zzquil periodically if I can't sleep due to excitement/nerves. Does wonders and its non-habit forming. Excited to get on with it!
  13. Do you have any sleeve buddies you could have your own sleevers version of the contest with? Or, perhaps come up with and suggest a different (non-weight loss-based) competition you can do with your coworkers.
  14. Today I'm going to a wedding and I am in the midst of my pre-op diet. I'm not telling anyone but family about my surgery. Anyone have any good tips? I've determined I can drink liquids in a highball glass and add a lime wedge or something, so my friends don't pester me about being pregnant. But the dinner I'm absolutely at a loss and not sure how to handle that.
  15. I've been on the liquid diet a week and a half, which has been very difficult and kind of trying at times. So, now I'm resetting my mindset to get super psyched up for surgery. I can't believe how much my life will change in just 4 days!!
  16. Happy birthday! Pre-op diet is fine in the morning then wears on me in the afternoon--just get hungry after awhile!
  17. Oct 14 here--I've been drinking premier protein as well and when I want to switch them up, I add SF coffee syrups (Torani or Skinny Girl). This morning I added Brown Sugar Cinnamon Torani to my vanilla shake and it tasted like a cinnamon roll *mmmmmm* I also add coffee creamers (1T is NUT-approved) and that helps too.
  18. Oct 14 in Muskegon here! Pre-op diet has been really tough, but I've lost 7 pounds in less than a week ????
  19. Bought the big pack of smoothies at Sam's and I thought it was disgusting. I couldn't take another sip and gave it to my husband. He didn't think it was that bad, but he'll eat anything. I'm pre-op, not sure if it will taste better to me post-op.
  20. I'm having a soup-cooking day with my sister next week. Anyone have any good sleeve-friendly recipes?
