  1. Sign me up! Goal weight: 190 Thanks!
  2. The 11th? That's my bday, too! Happy birthday! I'm where you were at last year and I have no idea what to do. Bdays have always involved food for me.
  3. Finally found a water flavoring that I like--crystal light raspberry lemonade. All others have a burning, faux sugar taste to me.
  4. Got through trick-or-treating and Halloween party without a hitch! Very proud of that, because appetizers are my jam. BUT, it was all protein shakes and crystal light for me! I started doing this for when I get the to phase 3 and it just made me sad I can't eat real food yet Three more days!
  5. These both sound yummy--thank you!!
  6. Julian Michaels 30-minute workout DVD is basic stuff, but definitely gets you sweating. I also have the Wii Zumba game that's pretty fun and I get my toddler doing it with me ????
  7. @@Elode, As of tomorrow, I'm on the last 5 days of my post-op liquid diet. It would be nice to join in your challenge and finish these last 5 days strong and to wrap up WEEK 5 of liquids only! Count me in--if nothing else, I will be a cheerleader for those of you not required to do it right now????
  8. Right there with you! I had two weeks liquid pre-op and I'm two weeks post-op liquids now--one more week to go for a grand total of FIVE WEEKS on liquids! I hear ya with the filmy teeth. It's driving me crazy, too. That, and I can't stand the taste of Water anymore, so I'm drinking all these fluids with fake sugars in them that make my filmy teeth worse I am trying to prep for phase three, finding recipes and getting ideas, etc., but it makes me kind of miserable looking at actual food! Here's to one more week and looking forward to a thinner, healthier future! Cheers! *raises Protein shake*
  9. 2 weeks post-op today--1 more week of liquids before I can try soft food!!
  10. Ugh, ok. I'll have to wait and see I guess. At least it doesn't make me nauseous. I'm only a little bit out from surgery and I'm so sick of Gatorade and water flavoring drops. I think it's all the fake sugar I don't like.
  11. The taste got better, but the sensation of the ice Water hitting my stomach makes me nauseous for some reason. Ah, ok. Well, that makes me hopeful. Thanks!
  12. The taste got better? Or your ability to drink it without getting nauseous? Thanks ????
  13. Thank you, I'm on full liquids and getting 3 protein shakes in. I try to sip slowly, but perhaps I push it too much. Water doesn't make me nauseous, however. It just tastes really gross to me now. I'd like to like water again, lol!
  14. It's not the food addition I'm struggling with, it's the food subtraction that's been so hard
  15. Post-op 11-days and water tastes really gross to me--ice cold and room temp. Does this ever go away? I REALLY liked water pre-op and would like to have plain water as an option in the future.
  16. Have you considered adding unflavored protein powder to soups, Gatorade, or flavored water?
  17. I started feeling better day by day, starting around day 4. I hope you feel better!
  18. In the first week you will only be doing liquids and you don't have to wait 30 mins after 'eating' a Protein shake to resume water. the stopping water before and after meals for me started with the mushie stage as I didn't want to flush the food out of my stomach, I wanted that slow digestion @ that point. But for you at this stage it's more important to stay hydrated. I agree with this, however, I have noticed as my hunger comes back, I stay full longer after a Protein Shake if I wait to drink water. When you're first post-op, though, it's sip sip sip non-stop.
  19. @, I feel your pain. I am in day 8 post op and am very emotional about it all. I'm really hoping that going back to work next week will help me concentrate on something else. 2 more weeks of liquids for me. ???? Good luck to us both!
  20. I could have written this same post a few times this past week since surgery. When I got out of surgery I was so excited and then got so sad about pizza since like day 3. It's encouraging that it's not gone forever, but it's up to me to take advantage of this surgery and make good choices. Thanks for posting @@ThickFit504!
  21. 226.2 reached my Halloween goal, yay!!
  22. I hope you feel better! I had a cold coming on the day of surgery and they didn't postpone. So, hopefully you don't get postponed either ????
  23. Just had mine done on 10/14 and am recovering well. I can say I brought minimal stuff with me and I'm glad. The things I was really grateful for were Biotin mouth spray and Chapstick. Otherwise, the hospital gave me most of what I need, minus a couple toiletries. I worked really hard to get up and walk, and that really helped. The only regret I have from the experience is that I wish I would have shaved my arms--so much of that awful tape tearing out my arm hair! Good luck everyone!!
