  1. Exact!!!!! same height and start weight!!!! 5'5 started at 246, 22/2xl pants, xl tops, now at 162 this morning 10/m/large pants (I got hipssssss) and s/m tops (: 6 months out today!!!!! Glad the complications and sickness are way in the past now! Starting to finally not regret it... Now if only my mind would catch up with my eyes..
  2. 6 months out now, but I kid you not for a while after, everything tasted like straight up vomit. Right after the surgery my sense of smell was extremely heightened and the smell of anything chicken or broth made me gag. My taste buds are pretty much back to what they were before now :-)
  3. I felt that way too. For myself I found out the following: 1. Don't concentrate on how much you have left, look at how much you lost! 2. Don't keep junk in the house 3. Don't listen to others (I get everything from ew fat @$$ to 'how much more weight do you plan on losing??!') listen to your body, not the number on the scale or your tag 4. Do listen to your NUT. He/she is there for a reason! 5. Do listen to your body. I can't tell you how much I said mmmmmm yummy just one more bite... And it physically hurt after 6. If you crave something, do NOT deny yourself of it when you are eating normal foods again. I'm not a huge sweets person, but if I want that chocolate dipped strawberry, daggit I'm going to eat it!! Otherwise, I'll eat just about everything else because I can't satisfy that craving! I have my off days (truth: Saturday I had half a blt, half a beef Jerky stick, a 20 oz bottle of soda and a 12 oz bottle of Smirnoff.. Nothing else) but you learn from them and make them few and far between! (I felt physically drained and blah the next day. Today I ate great and felt happy and energized!) I guess one good thing from having complications, I don't take anything for granted anymore and vow neverrrrrrrrrr to gain the weight back, not worth going through again or for nothing!
  4. I asked my dr to do that due to fam history. He said no because ins won't cover it and double surgery = double risk of complications. When they told me they would have to remove it, I said TOLD YOU BUT NOOOOOOO YOU DIDNT WANT TO LISTEN!! Rofl!!! I'm surprised he hasn't smacked me between the complications/attitude/dry sarcastic humor hehehe
  5. Don't be nervous you'll do great!!!! I'm doing great now. Had crab and a little potatoes for dinner. Super excited I got about 10 liquid oz in over an hour now!
  6. Aww thanks guys crazy I can't see it in the mirror.. But I really see it when I hold 2 pics together. And amen to recovery! The journey sucked but it's starting to pay off! Although safe to say I won't be having any more elective surgeries....
  7. Shoes-Payless $25! (also got sneakers for 13$ cause they were bogo) needed new ones since my feet shrunk too hehe
  8. Last pic obv not me, but I love it and wanted to share
  9. How far out are you/what are your stats? (sorry if you have a ticker, the vst iPhone app doesn't show the signature line) are you going to the Christmas fashion show? Reminds me I have to call Crystal Monday to reschedule oops!
  10. Bought tight 16 jeans about 3 weeks ago. They were bogo so I got a 14 too. I noticed the 16 was a little baggy by the end of the day and said what the hey! Tried on the 14 and they're a little baggy too! lol so I'm in a 14! (originally a 22 4 months ago!) grandmother picked me up a medium top last weekend and it fit. Thought it was a fluke. Got a medium top for me yesterday, tried it on today and it fits!!! (originally an xl-xxl) I kind of want to leave the giant sizing stickers on to show what size Im wearing and how much I've lost lol Also bought my first ever pair of skinny jeans! They never fit my calves and looked wretched. I make em look gooooooood now hehe
  11. I started at 246 may 16. I'm at 181 now. My nut said expect to be at 150 by march. Now she's saying around the holidays!
  12. Gum even 4 months later bothers my stomach with gas (go figure I have no problems with straws though??!?) sugar free sunkist candies, sf wherthers caramel apple candies and sf mints were a life saver when I was allowed to have them! It was nasty but also lost the most weight fast!
  13. I went through ketosis horribly over the summer and all I tasted was vomit or snot, yuck! It got better though and I no longer taste funny stuff.
  14. Did you get sleeved yet? PM me if youd rather
  15. Oops just realized its from '10 lol how s everything now? How was your experience? There's a person with the name imworthit that got sleeved 9/3 this year!
  16. Just seeing this sorry. How did it go? I've dealt with both of them and they're WONDERFUL!!!! I unfortunately had a lot of complications (none were their fault) and they were truly amazing, helpful and caring (:
  17. Depending on what I'm eating, 20 min MINIMUM to usually about 45 min. I do that sit infront of the tv thing people say NOT to do otherwise I eat too fast and/or "head hunger food anxiety" hits me like a brick wall!
  18. Hey what ever happened with this? I'm being sent for blood test because of this.
  19. I wish I had seen this list before, and I am happy to be on the list. From jasleeve's name being thrown out she really helped when I had a leak. I hope I can be of help to someone going through the same in the future because I know how scary it was. ++I posted on a public website. People will do what they want with my info, possibly use it in a future study. My posts are searchable. Oh well life goes on.
  20. Yes!!! I LOVE Prokurat! They work as a team. I didn't see too much of Noyan but Prokurat came when he could. When I was nervous about having my stent put in and a complete crying wreck he made time to come up and see me then came back in time to BE THERE when they put it in! He is a truly caring doctor like I said, the leak wasn't anything he did, it wasn't there after my surgery when I had the spleen infarct. My mom said the first week of my 3 week stay when I was so sick and out of it he looked extremely upset. I remember after that when I first started coming to and feeling better he was standing at the foot of my bed talking to my mom and I, and tickled my feet... His face went from blah to shock to extremely happy when I laughed and pulled them back. (he finds it hilarious I'm extreme crazy ticklish, as most people do. Also, he had apparently done it all week and I was so sick I didn't even flinch) I <3<3<3 him!!
  21. Eva the Diva (: too much drama (complications) with my surgery not to haha!
  22. Congrats and welcome to the losers bench Check out the NJ GROUP of you haven't already! Also, RWJ Hamilton or NB?
  23. Gma hasn't said much about my diet. Most of her talk is about going on vacation and the fact my fiance and I broke it off a little over a week ago :/
