Sleevorama got a reaction from LindaS in Biggest Omg Moments?I just want to see what others felt have been there biggest OMG moments after surgery.
Mine was this summer....we went on a family vacation this summer to SoCal. First OMG...the plane ride. I FIT!!! Last time I flew I overflowed out the seat and had to use a seat belt extender....this time, fit comfortably between the arm rests and no extension. I even had slack left over once I cinched the seat belt down!!!
Second, we went to six flags....and again I FIT!!!! Last time I went to six flags I had rides I embarrassingly had to get off because I couldn't fit........this time, FIT ON EVERY FREAKING ONE OF THEM!!!!
And the final OMG, I'm not ashamed to say the sex with the wife is amazing!!! Its like when we were dating 14yrs ago....holy crap, I mean I know how much rolls and all that get in the way...but just don't realize how much until they are gone.
I know that last on maybe a little much for some, but sorry....I'm just gooshing with good things!! The wife is actually getting a bit tired of me pointing out all the things I can fit into now that I couldn't before.....activity wise, not the sex.....

Sleevorama got a reaction from sarahmoni in Has Anyone Tried Zero Carb Isopure?I'm with you....I hated the Isopures....but I wasn't able to drink any of the whey stuff without puking, literally. The only protein shake that my NUT said was ok and that I could drink without any problems, and it tastes really really good, was Bolthouse Mango Protein shake, 32g protein per bottle. I'm out of surgery 6months now and it still tastes good to me. You can thin it down if its to thick right after surgery....but yeah...mmm good.

Sleevorama reacted to shrinkydinkme in Has Anyone Tried Zero Carb Isopure?I tried 6 Isopure flavors and hated them all. Don't over buy... sample. It is so hard to know what you will like post-op and even 3 weeks post-op my likes for certain things changed again. My favorite was the syntax nectar cappuccino and crystal sky ( kind of coconut tropical) I go 11 sample packs from BJsbariatrics.com and VSTalk is a code for $7.50 off a $30 order. And when 17 days post op I could no longer tolerate the chewable Celebrate vitamins I thought tasted like candy after surgery... so they exchanged them for the capsules I wanted. GREAT service!

Sleevorama got a reaction from Jolie_KeMi in Goal Weight?Doc wanted me at 200lbs.....I wasn't 200lbs in highschool. I chose the weight I was my senior year in highschool, 215lbs. That was my most active and when I felt the best about myself, body wise. Granted 200lbs isn't much further below.....but I just don't see myself hitting that one.

Sleevorama got a reaction from ashleyxx in Stall, Not Upset...just PerplexedOk...I've done awesome and am very VERY pleased with my success, lost 86# in 3 months, but I've hit my first big stall since surgery and am pretty sure its exercise related.....just want to bounce this off you all to make sure my thinking is correct. I've been down 1# up 1#, going back and forth for two weeks now. I've been doing walking and eating between 800-1000 calories a day, protein first. I just had my 3 month and was told I need to start hitting the gym and lifting. Is that whats got me in the stall......not doing the lifting yet? In fairness my walks are a nice relaxed pace, I was told to do it that way right now, so its not like my cardio is that heavy. Any guidance or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Sleevorama got a reaction from rahnava in Eating Is A Chore Now!Obviously I had an unhealthy relationship with food if I needed to get this surgery, and something needed to change. Granted I'm only 3 weeks out but even eating my mushiness feels like a chore. Anyone else get this feeling? Does it pass?

Sleevorama got a reaction from Neese in Crying? Really?Between my pre-op diet and the 4 days since my surgery I have lost 30lbs. To me that's huge! I put on some regular clothes for the first time since surgery to go out with the family.....I then proceeded to cry with elation over the fact my favorite tshirt fit different....enough that the wife was even in awe how much better it hung on me. I was very very happy, but was the crying due to the hormone imbalance, or do others feel so full of joy after a moment like that they have had similar experiences?

Sleevorama got a reaction from Allie ALii in What'a Your Favorite Sweet Treat/You know...I was instructed by my doctor to take a Calcium supplement 3 times a day. I was sceptical at first, expecting the ones she told me to get would be mediciny, but they taste like a carmel candy...I think they're awesome and they kind of fill my sweet tooth need. They have 4 flavors, Milk chocolate, Caramel, Rasberry, and Chocolate Mint. I have only tried the Caramel since that is one of my favorite candy types...and they are AWESOME!!! They are called Viactiv. Now, when I went to my pharmacy to get them they had there Walgreen's store brand on the shelf right next to them for a lot cheaper. I tried those and they taste like a candy. Anyways, hope that helps.

Sleevorama got a reaction from msaprildawn in When Did You Start Protein Drinks After Surgery? They made me try one in the hospital the day after my surgery, it made me ill. On day three after I got home I tried again with serious heartburn after 2 or 3 sips. I'm supposed to get in as much as I can right now, they know it won't be all I need immediately, but I also think I am going to switch to the more fruity type, like Nectar or whatever its called.....I have a feeling those will sit easier with me than the protein shakes. I tried them before surgery as well and just couldn't dig the choclate, vanilla, or strawberry shakes. Maybe I'm weird.
