  6. I payed $2,400 the day before and the $2000 the day of, so yeah, I guess it was up front. That btw, was just surgery, not all the psych eval, nut, and exercise classes.
  7. Yes, you can, but VERY LITTLE!!!
  8. Hey Cigna Sleevers! I got sleeved March 28, 2012. I had to do the 6 mos thing. I got denied one time because they "lost" my doctor letter. I re-faxed it, and got approved right away. We ended up paying $4,400 total. $4,000 was my deductible and $400 for the hospital admit. It was SO worth it!!!! I really didn't have a hard time with Cigna at all. I am so happy with my sleeve. I am LOVING it! Good luck to the rest of you on your journey! I wish you well! <3

  12. Hi All March Sleevers! I got sleeved on March 28th and I think I am doing well. I am down 44 lbs., 28 lbs. down since surgery. I have slowed down since the introduction of solid foods, but I am okay with that. My Nut wants me eating 6X a day. That has been tough. I think I am doing better with that, though. I notice that I get hungry every 2 hours or so. I try to get protein first. It has been wonderful to eat veggies again. I think I have a "Sleeve of Steel". I can pretty much eat anything. There hasn't been anything that has given me a hard time. I love my sleeve and that the 44 lbs. I have lost are 44 lbs. I will never have on my body again. I am very pleased.
  13. Just sent you a fr in fb. Lisa Wilson. Thanks!
  14. I was sleeved on March 18. I feel happy with my weight loss, but I have hit a stall, too! Pre op I lost 16. My one week post op I had lost another 13. Since then I have lost a total of 33. I thought I would have lost more by now. I feel frustrated. I will keep going, though.
  15. Thanks everyone! I just don't get how the signals can be so confusing.
  16. Ugh! I am 3 weeks post op and on mushies. I thought i was hungry so I made some egg salad. I had 3 bites. I totally feel sick to my stomach like I am going to throw up! Apparently I am FULL! I thought I was hungry! I don't know if I am going to ever figure out what the difference between hungry and full are. This has happened once before. I totally want to throw up. UGhhh!
  17. I will be 41 next month. My 17th wedding anniversary is Saturday. We have 4 kids, G 15, B 12, G 11, & G 8. I have lost 30 lbs. and I am 3 weeks post op.
  18. I am 2 weeks post op and I feel like I eat too much. I can eat about 3/4 C. of refried beans. I had some soft raviloi, and a yogurt. I can eat the whole yogurt cup. I wasn't able to eat that much last week. Is this normal? I feel like I am hungry a lot, and I can eat more than I have been. I try not to. I am sure it is head hungry going on...HELP!
  19. WOW Lissa!!! Way To Go! What a great victory for you! Your surgeon sounds amazing. You are a great inspiration to all of us! Thank you for all of your insight and your great advice you share with us! <3 hugs <3
  20. You are making me So excited!!!! Thanks for putting things into real life experiences! It makes such a difference! I have noticed my stomach doesn't touch my steering wheel anymore! WOOHOO! I love having my jeans feel loose. Being able to tie my shoes w/o unzipping my pants! LOL! This is Awesome!!!
  21. I have my one week post op tomorrow. Does the doctor change your diet to anything other than full liquid then? I am on full liquids now. I am hoping to get to mushies soon...oh, to be able to chew...! LOL! I am so glad that I got the surgery. It is such a HUGE change to my life. I have wanted it for so long (10 years) that now that I have had surgery, it seems surreal. Does anyone else feel that way?
  22. This is such an AMAZING forum!!! EVERY TIME I have a question, concern, or problem, I have been able to find answers and support. I am so grateful and thankful to have y'all on "my side". I am 7 days post-op and I was feeling weepy and moody. Sunday was the hardest day for me. My cute hubby even sat me down and asked what he could do. He said I was acting very depressed and sad. Funny thing was I wasn't paying attention. I was moody and depressed. I am doing MUCH better. I know it has to do with food. I feel miserable not being able to eat. I am looking forward to real food I can chew! Tonight I went out for a drive to drop some books off at the library. It felt so nice to feel the freedom of being able to drive. I have been off pain meds since Saturday, so I know they are out of my system. Tomorrow is my first dr. appt. I am looking forward to the scale there. It weighs different than home. Hopefully it will be good! Good Luck ALL of you and God bless you!
