You would probably have to call the insurance company .. If heard of ppl w the same msurance company but some had exclusions for weightloss surgery because the employer pick that .. So I think u should call to be more sure but I wish you luck I help they do cover it or Bmi is the same but I'm 5,7

This is what happen to me .. My doc said he would write the letter and clear me I called the office two weeks letter and his nurse said he wasn't going to write anything for me and to just exercise and do low calorie intake ... I demand to speak w him the nurse said he don't speak to patients over the phone wth ... The sad part is I told him everything up front and he said he agreed I told him up front if he could support me I find another doc and he said he would I had to find out four months later .. I now have a new doc ..

I have no experience with the mirena but I have a. Friend who was taking diet pills and she got pregnant and she didn't even kno it and the mirena was still in her when she found out ..she was in shocked

Yes I agree I haven't drunk a cold drink or smoke a cig in 4months cus I had to prove to myself and doctor that I was very serious about get healthy so good luck to everyone I just have my six month diet and eval left .. Hope it go fast with all the changes I been making

That the insurance company just want to do if you can comply w supervised doctor instructions but I guess it depends on insurance company .. My Bmi is 44 I plan on tryna lose 30pounds but losing 20 would put me rt at Bmi of 40

Did you lose any weight in your six month diet .. If so did it drop your bmi

My Bmi is 44 my insurance requires 40+ w no comorbities but I'm starting my six month supervised diet and my coordinator at the surgeons office said they don't worry about how much u lose just that u can follow the program your doc give you ... I want to lose 30lbs but lost 20 will put me rt at 40 I'm afraid that the wont approve cus I have no comorbities

Yea I been off for three months I haven't had surgery yet .. And I only smoke three cigs a day but I did that for five years so I thought because I didn't smoke I would have withdraws but it not about how much u smoke it's about how long your body consumes them but good luck they say it gets better

Maybe you having withdraw from not smoking to that's an ideal cus when I quit I had problems sleeping i don't kno if thats the case but it's an ideal ..

Thank you ... I kno it's like u wake up and all I can think about is getting sleeve like its hope for a better me ..I even try to be extra careful not to get hurt in any way at work or public so that it won't be a delay .. Lol

When u meet your surgeon he or she will have a coordinator ...but I can't meet my surgeon until I have my paper work .. But my coordinator gave me a package to follow what I need for my insurance company and I gave a package to my pcp but I just call her when I run into something I don't understand she is the one I deal w until then .. That person is usually nurse to the surgeon

Maybe try going thru w your process w a surgeon it's coordinator cus he or she helps out a lot w what these insurance companies want cuz they deal w plenty if them .. My coordinator from my surgeon office is very helpful when it comes to what I need to do

I'm just now starting my six months I wish I had 3 more months to go .. That's good u tried my coordinator just inormed me that on the six month diet I could lose as much as I want they just want to see if I'm following the rules ... I think u should use the time to loss more weight and practice presurgery reginmen ... Good luck to u
