  1. Thanks everyone for your support.... I love hearing your stories!!! Yes....I have negative amount of patience!
  2. I got my band March 30th....everything went well. I got my first fill April 27th.... I am feeling nothing in terms of restriction...I know that I will need a few more fills until I get to the green zone. Would love to hear stories of those of you, that lost no weight the first two months until you got proper restriction and than started losing weight like crazy.... I am so discouraged, disappointed and kind of angry that I've lost 0 pounds-but have gone through surgery and paid 16k....it's depressing. I know that I have to be patient...blah blah blah....but it's still hard. So any success stories are welcome
  3. Chaya, please take the codeine....I was on it for three days straight.....it's ok Than you're all good! I was nervous about taking it too-but there's a reason why they give it and it made the whole first week fly by like nothing
  4. That's my goal....to be all ok:) I will be there in 36 pounds
  5. My bmi was 30.2....now 29 I'm also scared the weight loss will be slow because of that...so now six days post op I'm down 6.2....and that makes me immensely happy and ready to take on anything. Keep me posted how it goes for you
  6. I got there all nervous and with some tears....and than it passed so quickly We got there at 9:30 and were on our way home around 2ish....I think....I was a bit groggy when we left. So now I'm seven days out and I have to say that only last night Hunger showed its ugly head...I've lost five pounds since the 30th.... As far as liquids...I've just been having soups, lots of Popsicles, and zero fat yogurts....also my new amazing protein shake that tastes like Ice Capps (skim milk, protein powder, tsp coffee, lots of ice-mix in bullet- you have a zero fat, cool, creammy ice Capp!). I was getting around kind of easily maybe day four..it seems to get worse day two and three and than get better.... All in all pretty easy It's the waiting that's really killer Sounds like you have a low bmi like me...howich do u need to lose?
  7. Hi Yve I'm far from the Carribbeans....and probably not very Irie most of the time but I like the idea of being Irieeeeeee with time
  8. Congratulations!!! A few years ago I had lost fifty pounds and I remember buying some size six clothes and crying in the dressing room from joy.... Since than....I regained that weight....but now with my new Band - I hope to lose the weight for good and have that victorious feeling you're having again!
  9. The instruction I got was about four weeks post op- but I feel so excited to start losing weight- I'm dying to get working -but at the same time I want to make sure it's safe and that I don't hurt myself Any advice?
  10. Of course it's nerve wreaking - this is a big decision....I just got banded last Friday and I can just tell you from my experience- its over before you know it....and the weight loss begins! I'm down five pounds and I am looking forward to continuing that trend -as my husband says: It has to work....not possible for it not too.... So keep your chin up! I'm sure you will love it....
  11. Wow I must be in a good mood with all those happy faces
  12. Hello fellow bandsters:) I was banded on March 30 with Dr Coburn....anyone else in love with him? Something about him just so reassuring! I found the whole clinic just wonderful! From Sema and on to Kim...Although I did feel like I was left hanging briefly here and there.... So I'm six days post op-I can't believe it's been so easy Down five pounds....praying to God that it will continue 37 pounds to Goal I've already scheduled my first fill for April 27th Here's wishing lots of success to all of us at SWLC
  13. Hi I just read your story and want to tell you how much it touched me! That is a lot for anyone to handle!!! Good for you for getting back on top of it!!!!you are impressive!!!!!!!!! I am sure you will succeed!
  14. Hello Springers So my date is this Friday...I am nervous and excited....mostly just worried to death that I will fail on this too....I could never last on any diets...ever....not even for a minute.... We paid for this ourselves....16k....so I better make this one work.. Aside from the fact, that this is my last chance....I just can't take being overweight anymore.... Love how supportive you all are....only my husband and best friend know-but no family or anyone else.... See you on the other side
  15. Hope you get through this quickly and back to full health soon! Take care
  16. Is taking vitamins critical? Is it because you can't eat so much in the first few weeks so u need the vitamins? Will be joining you all March 30th Hope you are all healing well and quickly
  17. Anyone getting banded up here ?
  18. Hi Didixo Finally someone with my date...march 30th.....wish it was here already???°it started being really nice here in Toronto and I don't have anything that fits me from last summer...I was hoping to have some more "time" to lose some weight pre summer I've been reading the most amazing, inspiring and lovey blog on line: Chronicles from band land, one girls story It's by Catherine who was banded in 2008....she hit goal a long time ago, but I've been reading all the entries since the day before surgery....Absolutley awesome reading Just thought I'd share with all
  19. Had tears in my eyes too.... It's such a great feeling!!!good for you
  20. Don't know why...but since I decided to get banded (mar 30)...I can't stop eating and gained like 8 pounds already....it's almost like self punishment....I don't have any pre diet to do....but I don't think my doctor expects me to come in so much heavier than the last time he saw me....this is crazy... Anyone else like me? That day can't come soon enough....I'm so out of control....
  21. Same here.....I just eat now because it got to the point that no matter what I did, I was just gaining....I think tha band Had to work and we will all have fabulous after pictures!!!! I'm going in March 30th....wish it was here already....I think I'm ready...mainly because of this great site and everyone sharing their stories and being so supportive....people who never struggled with weight have no idea what we all go through!!! Oh...I'm in Toronto, Canada
