  1. Wow! Awesome and inspiring transformation!!
  2. Way to go! Im sure by now fish and beans never tasted sooo good. Lol congrats.
  3. Gone? The Attitudes adjusted...everyone on this forum is friendly and willing to offer their experience, support, and opinions. Noone here can offer medical advice nor say what may be right for everyone. They can only offer up what they personally have experienced or have knowledge of. So attacking someone for offering what is exactly the point of this site was rude and unacceptable. All opinions should be read with your own physicians advice in mind. If a post is made that you don't care for, u are not required to respond to it or berate the person offering it. We are all friends in the same boat from all different walks of life and different surgeons. Everyone here deserves kindness and respect. Its what I have found VST to be grounded upon. Love all you guys here. You've become my comfort, my teachers and my friends.
  4. Wow...My Gastric, thank you for sharing your info and experience. Im sure each person has their own. As there are hundreds of people offering support here. Therefor, I will read each generously offered response to my post with my own physicians instructions in mind and be grateful to all the wonderful and diverse friendships I make here in VST. ; )
  5. I bought "Recipes for life after weight loss surgery" the revised/updated version for nook by Margaret Furtado. Lots of recipes and includes some sleeve specific info.
  6. Im preop but making my way to the losers bench at a steady rate. So, reading everything here gave me ideas. Im headed to the bahamas for a week and wondered what to do with some foods in fridge since they would spoil. So I broke out the food processor. Using some low sodium beef broth and a partial jar of low fat beef gravy,I pureed and finely chopped some roast beef and peppered beef, stuck it in small portion freezer bags and froze it. We'll see how it holds up and it tasted really good to my preop taste buds..so if your bored with your pureed and mushies, this may be worth a try. Im sure other flavored meats would work as well with their coincided broths/liquids. Not so bland as baby foods. Just thought Id share for those who are sick of yogurt.
  7. Congrats! You are doing wonderful. Keep it up : )
  8. M2G you look beautiful! Congrats. Its hard to be patient but you obviously won that battle. Way to go.

  16. Welcome all. Nice to see there are several of us in the area. Im going to Dr. Elliott with HCA. I have psych, manometry and 24HR PH 6/4 and Nut 5/29. Then to be sent for approval. Hopefully we all get on the loser bench soon.
  17. Cool! Thats gotta feel good. Congrats.
  18. Awesome! 17lbs in 1 month! Personally, being preop, I find that amazing. Keep it up : )
  19. Gastroesophageal reflux disease...chronic heartburn basically.
  20. My physician seems concerned about this as well. He is sending me for manometry and 24hr PH testing. I guess to be sure the GERD isnt so bad that I will suffer worse after surgery?? Not really sure. Personally, I feel if I don't have surgery I will be on prilosec the rest of my life anyway cuz Im fat. So who cares if I still have to take it postop?? I use an OTC version that controls it completely right now.
  21. Welcome, and good luck. I hope all goes smoothly for you.
  22. Welcome. Congrats on your decision to change your life. You can learn alot here. Keep us posted.
  23. Congrats Aug. You'll be on the loser bench before you know it! I've heard of that doc. You must be pretty close to me. Maybe we'll end up sleeved close together and can give eachother some local support. : )
