  1. I had surgery Wed, I do not regret it but am surprised at how much pain I am having with the incisions, I can hardly get anything down because it hurts. I know this will pass and you need to keep telling yourself that. I have had wo kids, a bowel re-section, tummy tuck and breast reduction and this is probably the most painful of all, so keep in mind, you are not alone. I hope we both feel better soon!
  2. Hi All! I am tomorrow as well. Not until 2:30pm so you guys will probably be walking the halls while I am fast asleep. Best wishes for everyone!
  3. Good luck with your surgery, I will be in your boat tomorrow night!!! So excited!
  4. Wow, you look amazing! I needed to see this, I have surgery Wed., and need post like this to assure me that no matter the pain it will be worth it. Congratulations!

  7. I believe mine is April 9th. I m 35, 5'1 and 210lbs. I am self pay, have scheduled my EGD, Nutrition class and cardiology appt for next week. I am on the cancellation let for the psychologist and then I will be scheduled for an official day. Surgeon has me penciled in for the 9th though. He wanted to go a week earlier but I cannot due to work meeting I am putting on. I can't wait!!!
  8. I am so sorry for your problems, this is re-assurance in my decision to self pay. I keep thinking maybe I should go through it all but I would be beyond devastated if I went through all the hurdles and were then denied. Please keep us in the loop, I will be thinking of you.
  9. I hear ya! I am self pay and had my first appointment with surgeon today. I pretty much told him I want his next surgery date. I did not realize that even being self pay I have lots of things to do first. I am so anxious and just want t to get here and know everything will be okay. Good luck on your nursing boards, maybe studying for those will get your mind off it!
  10. Good luck! I am so happy for you! Can't wait until I am in your shoes, I have until 4/9 to wait.
  11. Hi, I am a newbie, I have been reading but just joined today. Have Crohn's disease and am getting the sleeve soon, just curious if anyone else is in the same situation. If so, have you had a re-section, if so did it cause issues with recovery time? (my surgeon said if scar tissue is there it could make a longer recovery) In general, how are things with coping with Crohn's and aving the sleeve?
