  1. Awe no problem!! I've learned so much on this forum. I'm just over a month out now and thank god for all the support here!!
  2. Yea you won't feel the restriction as much just drinking the liquids. They go right down. Take advantage of that because you need as much liquids as you possibly can get now! It's so important. Believe me when u start solids you will notice ! Good luck
  3. It's not a slider cuz its a liquid. Sliders are foods that are not too great for you that allow you to eat a lot of it. Like chips and stuff. Nothing wrong with drinking the broth ( except the salt content) cuz its liquid and liquids are good.
  4. I walked a mile the other day and wasn't huffing and puffing. Never thought I could it without the excruciating pain in my legs! I love my sleeve.
  5. My doc said I can use a straw as long as it doesnt affect me. Some people just take in extra air with straws. It's not that it will hurt your sleeve.
  6. Just noticed my face has a square shape?? Not big and round like a freakin pumpkin!
  7. I was sleeved 4/9 and I just had my 1 month post op visit with my surgeon and was cleared for everything as long as I can tolerate it.
  8. Watermelon definitely. Pineapple is fibrous. I was 4/9 and in cleared for everything now as long as I can tolerate it. All depends on what ur surgeon has u cleared for
  9. A bit insensitive on their part. At this time anyway. Should they have to not eat delicious things in fri t of you forever? No. But at 5 days out I'd be wanting to scratch their eyes out. Lolol
  10. Omg you're doing great! Don't be hung up on others loss. They may be giving a 'Total' loss number. Including some loss before surgery. 38 lbs is awesome.
  11. He is chief of bariatrics at good Sam. He is a wonderful dr. He's done hundreds of sleeves. Revisions as well. His number is 631-587-5800.
  12. He is in west islip on montauk hwy. good Sam hospital. Highly recommend him!! Dr. Edward Cussatti.
  13. The boars head is all ill eat. The ever roast chicken is my fave.
  14. What part of long island? I'm in west Babylon. I used dr. Cussatti. He's wonderful.
  15. Hi! My surgery was 4/9 and today was my 1 month+ post op visit to my doctor. I'm cleared now for everything. No restrictions.
  16. I'm 6 wks post op. I get a pain in my left shoulder if I eat to much or too fast. It's definitely my signal
  17. Yup. I can tolerate about as much. But I try not to.
  18. West Babylon here!!
  19. I wouldn't deprive yourself (or your daughter) from going. It's more about spending the time with her. Not the food. I wouldn't stray from your doctors orders. Maybe bring a protein shake or a snack you can eat.
  20. I make my chili in the slow cooker. All my meats. It's hard to mess up a crock meal. Meats come great.
  21. I have fake nails. I was told mail polish is fine, but stay away from red.
  22. I'm in my 5th week post today, so me, my hubby and my cousin ( all sleevers) went to lunch. This is my first dining out since surgery. We went to our favorite diner. Figured I'd have more 'sleeve friendly' choices. So I ordered a lunch special, it was chunks of chicken with onions, mushrooms and feta cheese. Omg was it delicious. But it was HUGE. It came with Soup which I gave to my husband. He is only 1 week post. My cousin had a large Greek salad with grilled chicken. So we're done eating and the waitress comes by and sees our barely eaten meals. Looking puzzled she asked if everything was ok. We said oh yes, delicious. She gave us a cockeyed look. Lol. We wrapped our meals to go, and I just made 4 more meals out of my $10.00 lunch!! I love my sleeve!!!
