  1. Ive had this victory outfit in my mind since I decided to have the surgery; a sexy red top, with a tight short zebra print skirt, and some shiny red pumps. I never wear prints on my bottom because I think it would make it look bigger, but after I lose my excess weight I'd love to wear a print every now and again.
  2. I haven't had my surgery yet, I am still doing my pre-op diet, its been 2 months now (my surgery has been postponed a few times >.<). On Monday of last week I was 307 and since that day my weight goes up to 309.36, and then down to 306.99. I'll go down 1 pound one day, up 1 pound the next day, or go up and up for a few days and then down, and then up again! (I did have my period until Wednesday). It is so frustrating, I did exercise only twice last week because I wasn't feeling well, the days I didn't exercise I would eat less calories, I have not stopped tracking what I eat in myfitnesspal. I know in my head that to go up I would need to consume 3500 over what I eat, and it takes me 4 days to eat 3500 calories anyway! Is this normal? A stall?
  3. I don't know much about weight lifting, but could some of the weight gain be that you have more muscle now? I think I read somewhere that muscle is heavier than fat. Just a thought.
  4. I am 24 too, and I weigh 318, right now I don't have any health issues like high blood pressure or diabetes, but I know that if I don't put a stop to my weight gain they are coming. I do not have low self esteem, and I am not self concious about my weight, I love putting on a swimming suit and go have fun at a pool or beach. All that been said, airplanes are a pain, going on a public bus is a pain, the fact that I have to buy my clothes online at onestopplus.com is a pain. Right now my knees don't bother me, but a few more years with all this weight and my poor knees are gonna start shouting at me.
  5. No children, my mom says I am like her, stress makes me lose hair. Thats like a vicious cycle, you stress you lose hair, you see the hair loss you stress more >.<
  6. I am a little concerned about my hair post-op, I already feel like I am losing some. I think my hair is more like a security blanket, before I would always say "at least I have nice hair". Anyone else feels like this? I guess I can always get a wig, maybe I'll look good as a redhead =P
  7. My dad is a doctor and has been working at that hospital for forever and a day, as long as I remember anyways =P. He was actually sitting behind the curtains but he knows the doc, and the doc called him up to see. He really didn't want to see, because I was gagging up a storm.
  8. I used to get it alot as a kid. After not having it for 8 yrs, I had it last month and now. Thanks for the feel better =)
  9. My dad confirmed it, its tonsillitis, again!!! So I can expect 2 injections for my behind any minute now. I had a sore throat yesterday but we thought it was cause of the tube, o well, I should be used to needles by now.
  10. I don't remember a thing, my dad told me it looked like my eyes were rolling around the whole time.
  11. I had my endoscopy yesterday, and I have had a slight sore throat when I swallow. This morning I decided to look in my mouth with a flashlight, and I noticed the same white stuff you get when you have tonsillitis, so I am wondering if it is tonsillitis or if its from the spray they used to numb my throat. (I did have tonsillitis like a month ago) Anyone else experienced this?
  12. Thanks for sharing! The last article was the most informative for me =)
  13. I avoided the food funerals like the plague. About a year ago, I knew I was going up alot, and every Sunday I would say on Monday I will start a diet; then I would order pizza, too much pizza, and I wouldn't start the diet cause I had so much pizza left over. I did this for months. I know I gained a lot of weight, my scale wouldn't even weigh me. I just had no self control back then, and was afraid of repeating my past mistakes. But everyone is different, I just knew that food funerals were not good for me.
  14. After the surgery, do people post-op take an acid reducer everyday?
  15. Thank you for sharing, congratulations on you success!!! I love the part were you say God has removed the obstacles, Isn't God awesome? =)
  16. What a great victory!!!! Your video has me crying tears of joy, and awe. God bless you and your children during this journey, and beyond!
  17. My dad said I was nauseous during the exam but I don't remember it. It was lights out for me.
  18. I just woke up from mine. I went to the hospital at 7am, the paperwork was about 1 hr, then like 30 mins waiting for the anestheologist. The last thing I remember was the anestheologist asking what they were giving me. My dad tells me a gagged alot, but I dont remember a thing. I don't know how I got off the bed and onto the wheelchair. All I remember is getting on my dads truck to come home, and getting off at the house. It was kind of funny t my house cause he kept telling me open your eyes, open your eyes, if you fall I can't pick you up, and I kept saying they are open! Dad laid me on my bed and I woke up at 3pm. I have a slight throat ache, I imagine its cause of the tube. I am glad I don't even remember seeing it.
  19. did they ask you to bring a towel?
  20. Tomorrow at 7am I am having my endoscopy, finally! I must say I am a little nervous, something going down my throat to my stomach makes me gag just thinking about it. Anyone else has had this done?
  21. Thats my type of meal! I just know I'm going to be stuck cooking 2 separate meals, for my family and for me.
  22. Not 100% sure, but that sounds like the slime people post-op talk about. As far as I have read, certain foods cause this, and its different foods for everyone.
  23. I look forward to a similar moment!! Congratz!!
  24. I'll look into them, thanks
