Why Are Post Gastric Sleeve Surgery Diets So Different?
I think it is more important what is it we are eating, than in what form it is. In all the phases you can make your food as lean and diet friendly as possible, or as unhealthy as possible, it is all up to you and your food choices. For example, take mashed potatoes, a healthy version is mash the potatoes with low fat or fat free chicken stock, an unhealthy version is to mash them with heavy cream and butter. Both are mushy but one will definitely help you lose more weight than the other.

Frustrated after Gastric Sleeve Surgery
I haven't had my surgery yet, I'm on my pre-op diet, I find that if I track what I eat with myfitnesspal.com I eat less. I like numbers, so I actually have this huge spreadsheet that tracks my food calories, exercise calories, weight, BMR, how much I expect to lose and all that kid of stuff; I find that I control myself more because I want to not only to reach my expected weight each day, but beat it if possible. My family thinks I'm crazy, but I tell them whatever works and keeps me on track is great!

Help! Pre Gastric Sleeve Surgery Diet Is So Hard!
I hate my protein, I gulp it down right after exercise, Im still in limbo, don't know when my surgery will be. I have been doing this pre-op since october 24th. I don't get very hungry anymore, if 5 minutes after a I get a hunger pang I don't eat it will go away. Can you have sugar free juices? I was told if I got too hungry to eat some cheese, maybe you can ask your doctor.

4-5 Days Post Gastric Sleeve Surgery And Already Down 16 Pounds.
Is it possible that a different scale would give you a different weight? I know I don't weigh the same on every scale I step on. Unless, ofcourse all those numbers come from the same scale.

25g Protein
Is it true you can only digest 25g of protein at a time? So lets say, if you make a shake with 30g, only 25g is absorbed and 5g is wasted?

Approved For Gastric Sleeve Surgery And Started Liquid Diet
Like stated above, the first days are the hardest. If you are doing exercise right now drink your protein shake immediately after, that way you won't lose muscle.

Stupid Question For Ya, Does Water Go Right Through After Gastric Sleeve Surgery?
Water won't stretch your sleeve. I don't think it goes straight through, but it does drain faster than solids from your stomach.

Carbs, Weights, And Sagging Skin
Recently I have been really concerned with sagging skin, so I thought doing weights in the gym after surgery would help with that. I have read some previous posts, and just wanted to ask if carbs before the weights, Protein after is the way to go? I don't want to bulk up, I am aiming for toned, and reducing skin sagging as much as possible. Also, does the resistance band workout work as well as weights? or stick to weights? Thank you in advance!!! =)

Gastric Sleeve Surgery Diet
I am slightly confused about calories, I read that you should eat between 600-800 calories during your loosing phase, and 1200 calories during maintenance. Is this true?

Vitamins Hurt My Stomach

Vitamins Hurt My Stomach
I take them right after my dinner, at this stage I am allowed 1 low carb meal a day, and I still get the pain. It is not a go to the bathroom pain, its on the top part of the stomach.

Starvation Mode--myth Or Reality?
Now I am confused, I thought the sleeve diet says you are supposed to eat from 600-800 during your loosing phase, and 1200 in maintenance. Is this true?

Vitamins Hurt My Stomach
I started taking vitamins as soon as I started loosing weight, they would go down easy: however, since I started my pre-op liquid diet every time I take them they hurt my stomach. Its the same vitamins from before, its actually the same bottle! Has anyone experienced something like this?

Ensure Protein Drink
Is your pre-op supposed to be low carb? I notices the Ensure High Protein has 23g of carb, personally I think thats too much. I have tasted the Slim-Fast Lower Carb shakes they taste great to me, and they have 20g of protein. Something against the Slim Fast one is that they do have a 9g of fat, and the Ensure has 2.5g.
