  1. Thank you. Trying a rice cake with ham for breakfast. Fingers crossed, it's not quite 24hrs but I'm starving
  2. Hi. I know I got a bit of raw carrot stuck about 5 hours ago. I couldn't "reproduce" it. The constant stuck feeling passed & liquid is going through ok. I just tried to eat some mush & the stuck intergestion feeling came back. Am I still stuck or just swollen? Anyone have any ideas? Maybe just swollen?
  3. Help! I have fallen off the wagon & need a leg up back on. I have been bad and need a full on plan to get back on track. I have been eating around the band, have putting on weight for the last month and it has to stop NOW. Does anyone have any suggestions to kick start myself back in to correct mindset? I am ready but don't know where to start. :-(.
  4. Hi I'm from Tassie & with Dr P. He is awesome. How did you go?
  5. Hi. My doc is the same. I normally eat straight after. If you are scared have a soup or some mush of some description. Better safe than sorry I say. I do what I feel. Sometimes I am too scared to eat as well. I am waiting for my next fill & because I have quite a bit of fill in I will do a smoothie for lunch just to be safe.
  6. Woo hoo!!!! Well done!
  7. Merry Christmas to you.
  8. That is awesome!!! Very clever. Xxxx
  9. I agree with the above. My dr says its ok but sip it, it will go straight to your head. Count it in your calories as well. If you like a glass of sparkling wine pop a pinch of salt in it, it helps it flatten a bit (dr told me to do that). A nice treat you won't feel bad about if you record it - that's the key.
  10. Awesome!!! Well done - how very exciting.
  11. Please don't be sad. Same thing happened to me. Just concentrate on healing & trust me you will be fine. I was worried as well & my dr dismissed my concerns & said "we haven't really started yet". You body is holding on to anything you can give it while you are healing. Xx
  12. I am sooooo excited. Two days in a row some has told me how good I am looking! I cannot remember the last time anyone said that to me (husband excluded). So happy I want to cry!
  13. It sort of expands in your tummy & hurts. My dr suggested that if want a Xmas bubbles to put a pinch of salt in it, it helps it to go flat. Just 1 though.
  14. No it shouldn't hurt. Take tiny bites, chew it all up until its almost gone & then wait a minute before having another one. If it is still hurting after a couple of days after a fill give your doctor a call. Dont leave it too long. Do liquids hurt?
  15. Well done Lucy!! Big hugs to you!
  16. Hi there. You know you are too tight when eating hurts, you cannot eat, you cannot keep liquids down or have bad reflux with any of those symptoms. Trust me, you will know if you are.
  17. I find I don't serve myself enough now if I can't measure my food. May not seem bad however I head for snacks later. I prefer to measure in a cup & leave some.
  18. Yep from Tassie. 9 months in & still learning.
  19. Ohhh good luck. Sounds same as what happened to me, it just kept getting tighter & tighter. If you can still eat & drink then that's a good sign. I couldn't. Please let me know how you go. My twinges are settling now thank goodness. I can eat now without it hurting. My dr did ask how long after eating did the pains start and last. Might be worth noting it down incase you get asked as well. Xoxo
  20. No I haven't but it seems weird. Have you changed your diet at all? Sometimes if you drops carbs all together you get a bad taste & bad breath. Hope it goes away. Xo
  21. I am feeling much much better thanks. Surgeon took out 1ml but water would still not flow through. He then took out another ml & it started moving. He made me sit there while he watched me drink it. Lol. He said if the pains come back I need to text him and he will send me in for all the tests (slip & gallsones). So far only a few twinges. He said it will take a few days for the swelling to go down. I got in trouble for not ringing sooner. :-/. Back next Wednesday for a checkup. He has no idea why it happened either! Cause unknown. .
  22. Try a chocky hot drink. A milo or low fat hot chocolate. Less calories than inhaling a family block. That's what I try.
  23. Hello everyone. I have finally found the thread for March! Yay. I couldnt find it from my phone I will have to go back & check up on everyone. I am doing really well, just 3kg off my 1st goal weight. It hasnt been without its ups & downs though as I am sure all of you know as well. I hope everyone is going well. xoxoxo
  24. I am sitting in my drs now waiting for an unfill. I cannot wait. I don't understand what happened to me. Had a fill 2 weeks ago & had a dream week then BAM can't keep anything in comfortably.
  25. Yes you are right Chez. Pains back. I am heading in in 50 mins. Ouch. :'-(
