  1. It's actually here!!! I think the nerves are finally kicking in. Kinda scared, actually. First surgery EVER!!! And I can't believe after tomorrow I will not be posting in the post-surgery forum! Lol Here's to hopefully a much limitless, carefree, healthier life!
  2. Thank you, all! I know its hard to believe but it'll get here quicker than you think! I cant believe I'm only 6 hours away from having to be at the hospital! So crazy! Haven't been nervous yet, but I think it's kicking in now.
  3. Thank you sooo much, Ready4change!
  4. Thanks for the replies everyone! Definitely makes me feel more confident that my life won't be a COMPLETE torture! LOL! Highland, don't get discouraged! Your weight loss has been remarkable! N i'm sure it is NOT stopping here. <3
  5. Finally at ease...An EXTREMELY unexpected bump in the road has been cleared! Got my insurance approval today--two days before surgery!!! ELATED!!!
  6. guitar4life3000 What's plication???
  7. Wow! How great! How much have u lost Highland???
  8. Lol. We will surely find out! N pretty much together. This is the best part of this forum!
  9. I'm actually scheduled for my band this Friday. (Having minor issues with my ins at the very last minute. ) For whatever reason I am obssessed with googling what can and can't be eating with the band constantly. It kinda makes me wish I had chosen the sleeve instead. I LOVEEE bread, I LOVEEE rice, I LOVEEE sushi, etc...The sleeve seems so much easier in being able to still continue to eat those foods, just in MUCH smaller portions. I know I should stay away from those foods regardless but I hate that it won't be a matter of choice with the band but a matter of getting sick n if it's worth it. Ughhh...
  10. Yeah, pretty much! Lol It'll get better stick with it. After a few days u really do get used to it. I was miserable in the beginning. Also had no energy, did not want to be bothered, was pretty short with everyone around me...Lol N there are some moments throughout the day when I have to remind myself one day down, is one day closer!
  11. I'm a week and a day in. It has definitely gotten easier. But I have made it a point to stay away from others as they eat b/c just the aromas alone make it unbearable. For anyone just going into their liquid diet believe it does get easier. My doctor says its so the procedure goes more smoothly as the liver will shrink, but I really think its to give us a handle on what we are to expect after we've been banding. It must be a thousand times harder to go from full meals to absolutely 'nothing' once u've been banded, w/o this preparation.
  12. Were u ladies allowed any veggies as snacks? My nutrition allows two cups of vegetables per day as a snack. That has been my only relieve. I miss chewing so much!
  13. I honestly feel like it has to be better than this! At least there will be hope that you will be slowing professing to solids again.
  14. Surgery scheduled for the 23rd! Still working out some kinks with my insurance--but Godwilling it will not have to be postponed.
  15. N I miss meat so so much!!! I have daydreams of burgers! Ughhh
