  1. Oh okay. Sounds good! My doctor wanted the bandages removed today n the steri strips that were beneath them are supposed to fall off on their own. It felt good to remove them n see that's what's below isn't so scary. Lol
  2. Congrats!!!! So great to hear!!! I'm so happy for ur success! Good luck with ur upcoming surgery! Hopes for a quick recovery.
  3. Oh, okay. Great! I'm glad u've had company n help with ur lil one. Im sure that has helped tremendously. Have u removed ur bandages/adhesions yet??? I'm afraid...Lol
  4. Hey twin! Same here. Just had the surgeon's office email a doctor's note for a couple more days. Although, I'm not feeling horribly (thank God!), the thought of commuting in the city and sitting for more or less the entirety of 8 hours can't be good. So I should be going back Thursday. It is a bit tough to be home all day but I've had lots of visitors n actually went to a friend's house for a couple of hours last night which helped. I'm glad u're coming along great. Idk if u've kept up ur walking. If not give urself some fresh air for 10 minutes or so. It's bound to help!
  5. I also was thinking of going back to work on Tuesday. For the moment it seems the gas is starting to alleviate. Hopefully that's the case. I'm really starting to get hungry now. I just ask for night to come so I can sleep n get my mind off of it. Besides that I haven't had problems when I've gone for my walks. I haven't pushed it past 15 mins at a time, but I feel the need to go for one or else I feel like I'm literally inflated if I stay sitting for too long. Hope everyone else's issues are starting to ease!
  6. Thank you soooo much Ready4Change!!!
  7. Yeah, I'm not even attempting bending down! I have everyone picking things up for me! Lol N sitting is uncomfortable but I have to alternate from laying to sitting. Cuz the laying causes a lot of gas irritation. I walked to the pharmacy b/4 n it actually did help! Gotta try to do it a few more times throughout the day tomorrow. I'm actually not top hungry. My stomach is growling like crazy tho!!! I'm just trying to pretend this not eating stuff is normal still got 8 more days of the liquid diet n don't want to torture myself with the idea of food. =\ I use the Pure Protein shakes also. The strawberry one is awesome. Makes me feel like its a real shake when it's nice n cold! Lol Well, KIT Twin!!!
  8. Thank you so much, Elizabeth Anne!!!
  9. I was banded yesterday as well!!! I'm actually feeling pretty well! But I do have problems with the gas. It comes n goes but when it does attack its pretty hurtful. Got gas-x as well. Hope it starts kicking in. I actually slept on my stomach last night. That's the only way I can actually fall asleep. In the hospital I slept on my side but that was because of the fatigue and the anesthesia's help. Glad everything has gone so great for you! Congrats and we are now officially band twins! Lol
  10. Was banded yesterday. Came home the same day. Feeling pretty great. Just having slight gas pain now. Which I had originally had as I woke up from anesthesia. But I was given painkillers and it went away. Got Gas-X, so far I'm not sure if it is really helping.
  11. Hahaha!!!! Even in this u man are luckier!!! Lol
  12. Anyone use something to try n diminish their scars??? I read something about silicon sheets. Never heard of those b4. How easy are they to find?
  13. Wow!!! U are more than inspiring!!! I would be incredibly happy if I can get remotely close to that number in such a short time. How great!!! Continued success!!!
  14. Was the first in surgery today! Spent a decent amt of time in recovery. Only had one issue where the incision in between my ribcage just below my breasts REALLY hurt! But I got painkillers immediately n was instantly relieved. Even took a nap! Lol I'm waiting till 8 to go home. Nurse sees no reason for me to stay over. The discomfort is totally bearable, I am peeing well, can drink liquids n walk (slightly hunched over however). Good luck to those that have yet to have their surgeries!!! Thanks for the support!
  15. Yeah, I think I will be too! I really don't feel bad at all. The nurse seems really confident that not much else needs to be done for me here n I guess sleeping in a hospital, which I have never done before, can't be better than ones own bed.
  16. Wow! I couldn't make it! The cotton mouth is unbearable WITH the ice n water!
  17. Wow! That is incredible!!! U are a trooper! U didn't have any free of pain at home??? That's why I'm trying to avoid going home right away.
  18. Yeah, that's more or less the time they were telling me to get up n walk. Finally did a few mins ago (9 hours after surgery). Not bad!
  19. Thanks Shauna! I'm a lil afraid to get up. I'm actually finding myself trying to avoid it. How long after u came out of surgery did u get up?
  20. Finally in my room. Surgery was a success. So far only one minor issue of pain n it quickly alleviated with painkillers. I was told I can leave today if I can pee a certain amt, drink n walk. But I definitely want to stay the night! God forbid I have pain at home n can't manage!
  21. Awww..Thanks but i'm sure u will too! It's for our betterment, so why not be positive? The whole thing is more or less and hour or two with the prep n recovery. I will try to update!
