  3. That was an eye opener, she is NOT a true friend to disclose something told to her in confidence! I understand how you feel, but it may not seem as bad in the am. But,she was WRONG and I would tell her NOTHING else!
  4. That's odd. I would think he would be encouraging the band, instead of telling you about bad results. Is he one of those that prefers Gastric Bypass?
  5. Hi Illuxi, I think what makes the band different is that you are somewhat forced to eat less. The ones I know that had it, get very ill when they eat too much.
  6. Hi All, I am a Newbie also at the beginning phases, but have one of my best friends had this procedure. We are so close, I pretty much heard her experience with most of the topics discussed.here. She also said the fills did not hurt much, and her dr's recommendation is a tightening every 10 lbs. I'm not sure if that is standard for all. I have to go a different surgeon than she did due to my insurance, She has lost over 100 lbs, but it has taken her about 3 years. She looks amazing! I will say, she tried to cheat ALOT! She initially tried to eat things that were not recommended and would head straight to the bathroom to vomit. Seeing her body respond in that way was enough for me to really follow the dr's orders!
  7. I hope all went well! That was a quick process, the advantage of self pay!! I am waiting to hear from my doctor's office for my initial appointment this week. I have a while to go because of the insurance, about 6 mos. I am excited! Sandy, I hope all went well, and keep us posted....
  8. This is one of my biggest fears! I didnt expect to hear about is so much with Lap Bad.
  9. Hi ladies, I, also have decided to get Lap Bad. I am at the beginning of the process. My best friend had the procedure several years ago and lost over 100 lbs. I have researched this for years, and have my mind made up! It's exciting to hear all the success stories, and to have this site to share the experience and learn from others.
