The Good The Bad And The Ugly
So after feeling bad about myself and not allowing myself to be happy for the 3 pound loss as I should. I took the weekend to meet with a trainer and have set up a new exercise plan that I will start tonight after work. I am starting to work on the elliptical and strength training, I will still be doing the swim aerobics twice a week and my do a yoga class now and again, but I am focusing on the elliptical for the month of March. Thanks for listing to me and my pity party I just need to really get a grip with this number issue. I refuse to feel badly for any amount of weight that I lose from now on! Thank you all for your support!

The Good The Bad And The Ugly
I just came back for my doctor’s appointment, and as a few of you know I only weigh in with my doctor because I tend to either reward or neglect myself depend on if I am happy with what is on the scale. My goal has always been to focus on health and not just the amount of pounds lost (even though I am always happy to drop a lot of weight!) So here are my numbers so far. 12/1/11 287 1/3/12 260 2/10/12 249 2/24/12 246 Total loss since surgery 41 pounds I am down 3 pounds at this weigh in and I have mixed feelings about this. I’m happy for the loss, but my first reaction is really only 3 pounds?!?!? I need another way to look at this situation so I am reaching out to my community. Thanks!

Easter Challenge!
Forensichick, Maybe you are right, I’ll take your lead on this one. It would be better to set a goal I can meet rather than be disappointed. I will aim for 20 instead. I really want to enjoy some of the summer under 200 that would just be so wonderful so long term that is what I am aiming for but for this challenge I’ll be happy at 20.

Easter Challenge!
I’m not sure I understand how this will work this is my 1st challenge, but count me in! I hope this isn’t too extreme but I would like to be at 200 pounds which is a total of 49 pounds down in 7 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get there? Surgery Weight: 287 Current Weight: 249 Easter Challenge Goal Weight: 200

December 2011 Sleevers Update
Shea, It’s nice to see where everyone is in this group. I sometimes feel like I should be losing more but then again I am just so darn happy to be moving down instead of up in weight I can stand it! I am looking forward to the 18’s and if I can be in a 16 or 14 by my birthday at the end of April that would be out of this world! Keep up the good work, take the steps that you need to be successful!

December 2011 Sleevers Update
3 years ago I brought a pair of GAP Long & Lean jeans in size 20 without trying them on because I hated trying on stuff and going to the fitting room, I was so disappointed when I got home and I couldn’t get them ½ up. This was a turning point for me; this is when I started thinking of WLS. Today 10 weeks post op I am wearing them to work. I am so happy for this NSV! DOS 12/1/12 287 CW 2/10/12 249 Down 38lbs

My New Numbers
Darn tracker I can’t figure out how to update it so here are my new numbers. I have to admit I felt disappointed that I didn’t lose more, but then I thought when was the last time you lost that much in such a short time? Highest weight 303 Weight day of surgery 12/1/11 287 1/3/12 260 down 27 lbs 2/10/12 249 down 11 lbs Also I need help with my Water, if I’m being honest I’m only getting about ½ in what can I do?

Telling People How Much I've Lost...means Admitting I Had That Much To Lose.
Wow this really hit home for me. I know what you mean, somehow when I was 300 I just felt like a big girl. I knew that I was large but still did not fully accept how the weight shaped my life. It saddens me that for years I would not take photos or go to the park and play with my son or even really look in the mirror at my body and not just my face. But, here I am now, so thankful to be on the other side and now I know that I have to adopt the things that I dropped from my life back. No matter what you should be proud! And you never have to give out full disclosure on how much you have lost if you don’t want to. Sending you loving thoughts!

Yoga
Guess what Yoga was fun!!! Could I do most of the poses…? No…but there was an open atmosphere and almost everyone in the class came across as non judgmental which was nice, so I think I’m going to put down becoming a Yoga chick but 2013 as a goal. My vote is that everyone gives it a try, its much less stressful then other gym experiences.

Yoga
I'll post how the class went. I could really use it now, I'm having 1 heck of a work day, before sleevie this would have been an eating day.
