  1. Well today was my first band fill 6 weeks post op. I did not hurt but felt really weird. The Dr. had a hard time finding my port. He said it happens. He put in 2 cc's so now I have a total of 4cc. I defiantly eat half of what I was able to eat yesterday. Wow it was like 5 bites and that was it. But it will be a good thing since I have been at 224 forever. Well we shall see what the scale says tomorrow.

My dr put a patch behind my ear to help with the nausea and they also gave me meds in my IV before and after surgery for the nausea. I had no problems. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
  3. So I get my first band fill on Thursday and I'm a little nervous but mostly excited. Just a little nervous of the unknown I guess not really the needles. I'm a pediatric nurse so I guess I have that to thank. Anyway still stuck at 26lbs hope this will help boost the wt loss again.
  4. Your going to great it is so amazing how good you will feel, well when your not sore anymore. I am 6 wk out have lost 26lbs, Dropped a dress size and am starting to feel better about myself. I am working out harder than I ever have and I feel great afterward. It is so worth takes a little getting used to but listen to your body and the signs it gives you. Your body knows whats best. Good luck and I cant wait to read your future posts on how great your doing and how good you feel.
  5. I also had my surgery on 10-25-11. I have lost 26lbs and get my 1st band fill on thursday. I also have been getting stuck at certain wt's and its frustrating. I am hoping with a band fill it will get the wt loss rolling again. I pretty much eat whatever I want just small portions. I've already had wine but I stay away from sodas they give me gas. I have real bad gas pains at first so bad I thought I was having a heart attack one day. Not to bad now. I'm very excited about my first band fill does it hurt?
  6. @ Crystal I do notice my clothes are fitting better to and I have gone from an 18/20 to a 16. @ Byrd that's awesome I hope I can lose like you to. Thanks Miata Keep up the good work too.
  7. Thanks ya'll have made me feel better.
  8. My starting wt was 250 lbs on 10-10-11 at which time I stated my pre surgery liquid diet. On the date of my surgery 10-25-11 I weighed 243 lost 7 lbs. At first the weight came off fast. But now I seem to get stuck at the same weight for awhile. Finally this morning I lost another lb. I was 225 for almost 2 weeks and stated to get frustrated but this morning I was 224lbs. I have lost a total of 26lbs. I have not had a band fill yet and am scheduled for that on 12-8-11. Hopefully at that time I'll start to see a little faster wt loss. Does this happen to anyone else? Crystal M.
  9. The gas and port pain was probably the thing I complained about the most after surgery. It will get better. I slept on my left side to and the right side felt better. I have just started sleeping on my left side again and I'm 5 wk out. I went to work the following Monday after my surgery and felt good. My only complaint was not sleeping on my left side and I can now. It wont be long and you will feel much better.
