  15. ive lost 80 in one year and i would call myself successful. do this for you and only you and you will be successful. i personally didnt tell anyone about my surgery i just let my actions speak for themselves dont worry about anyone but urself you are the only one that is gonna go through the surgery and through this journey this is about you and your health nobody else best of luck and best wishes
  16. good luck on ur surgery so excited for you. i just recently celebrated my one year anniversary since my surgery and i have already lost about 80lbs its all worth it no matter what people say or think the truth is that you will feel and look good and be much healthier best wishes on ur journey
  17. I love the biggest loser btw but yes like everyone has said before they are far from doing it on their own going through that type of training is probably more expensive and more dependent on someone else than surgery is. you can actually go to the biggest loser resort if you pay THOUSANDS of dollars ive looked into it. lapband is a tool that staying with you all your life to HELP you through this journey that YOU ALONE can only do. i love the biggest loser only because it motivates me to get up and go to the gym they have people on that show that are as big as i once was so i always look at them and think if they can do it so can i
  18. thank you all and good luck to everyone who is out there just starting this journey also good luck to those of us continuing and those maintaining
  19. feeling amazing a year later 80lbs down and much healthier and happier than i was a year ago. for those of you who are still debating on the surgery i can tell you that i am extremely happy today that i had the surgery a year ago. words cant express how much my life has improved i look better i feel better and i am much healthier. the hard pre op diet and all the post op recovery is worth it and it pays off
  20. i am now learning how important it is to take my vitamins i just ordered them and ill try airborne i was just scared to try it cuz it has bubbles like carbonation and i know we are supposed to stay away from it
  21. im a substitute teacher and i got my band about Ten months ago and have lost about 75lbs but i have been taking my vitamins . i have been getting sick sooo much since my surgery ive had 3 respiratory infections and keep getting colds ive had a cough for 3 weeks =/ is this normal ? is this due to my lack of vitamins ? what should i do ? im terrified of my germy students now =/
  22. going in i had the same mentality i wanted to eat everything i thought i would not eat again but im 7 months post surgery and lost 70lbs already and let me tell you ...YOU WILL EAT AGAIN lol i had a cupcake yesterday, i had nachos on the weekend yes most of the time i eat heathy and exercise every day but i still live life normally and there are gonna be days in life where you are just gonna have that cupcake lol good luck on your journey and best wishes
  23. take it one day at a time if avacado is not on the list of foods approved by ur dr then just dont eat it again the first few weeks are the hardest it will get better you will eat again dont worry. the pain in your chest is most likely gas i dont think you damaged anything band slippage dangers are more common later on when ur band is actually filled but with that said what u do now can affect u later so follow the rules dont beat yourself up for a little slip up they will happen again but you will be find for now just follow the rules they are there for a reason especially at your early stage .....it gets better
