SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE WELL!!! I came home wednesday, i too am having problems with what is really a sip and not getting extra air in the old pouch. Can't tolerate lot of strong flavors like broth either, but groovin on crystal light pink lemonade. today was a grest day got lots of walking in today i am feeling lazy i have to get the presents wrapped while the kids are in school!!

After getting in the two oz I can tolerate in my new sleeve I start getting this sharp pain and twisty sensation on the right side. It gets better when I walk around.anyone else experience this.maybe the gas from the operation trying to get out? Ps waiting for the surgeon to come in so I can go home !!

i can believe monday is coming so fast got all the last bloodwork done tuesday, see you in the anesthesia slumber on monday, I will get my report time tommorrow night! down 11 lbs on the preop diet!

favoredone, I am having a tough time with the liquid diet too! Day 6 here cause I have to do it for two weeks. If I thinks about it too much the surgery and the anticipation it feels like I am vibrating on the inside. See you in the OR sleep dreams on the 19th! Going to see the suegeon today, and have to get last blood work done. Trying to get everything ready for christmas too PS no surprise you students like you, the tough ones make you believe in yourself!

I talked to human resourses, cause she wants a conference call with HR and the director of nursing about the timing of surgery,. I read up about FMLA, if you meet critieria hours worked ect. they don't have the right to deny you. If the Dr. says it's neccessary, it is. You employer does not even have the right to even ask yow what the pricedure is. THIS IS TOTAL BULLCRAP! and i have to do what's right for me. started the process beginning of september, finished consults 11/22. getting sleeved 12/19. day 6 pre-op diet.. my surgeon said 3-6 mth is usual length before surgery. good lcuk with the process! pookeyism, i have a date,I'm on the preop diet, and i keep waiting for the bomb to drop, all ready had my boss threatening me for taking off during the holiday season. It all seems unreal. I"m cagey and panicky, and it all seems like a sureal nightmare. But when I dig deep I know this is right, i need to change my life. I can't worry about pissing off the boss, i have to think about all the holidays i'll miss with my family if i die young from obesity. .......wow..... glad i got that out..... keep moving forward, your worth it/ HW 362 CW 347 surgery date 12/19/11

actually the low fat cottage cheese is high and protien, compared to the yogurt. It is on my diet I can have 1 cup with unsweetened applesauce on it, it is the highlight of my day!

I understand what you are saying, I had a hard time making dinner for the family. I wanted to lick the spoon so bad. Food has always been my friend and comfort. Now food is the enemy and it causes me to be inside a body that causes me hardship and discomfort. I have been kind of praying in my head for the strength to be strong. Make me diligent so that my liver shrinks and makes the surgeons got easier. Feel free to vent when you need. I will listen and vent in return

I cannot believe this one!!!!!!! I e-mailed by boss my surgery date, and that the FMLA paper work was in progress, and she e-mails back and I quote. "I cannot approve this during the holiday season." WHAT??? Are you kidding me. Anyhoo she has no legal right to deny me, told her I cannot change the surgery date. She's not the one with the diabetes HTN and obesity. My only concern is reatilation. I can't afford to lose my job.

Yup! For both of us...... Can't wait to see us at the finish line!

Got the call today, I am getting my sleeve December 19th! I am excited scared, and shaking with joy all at once. I start the pre=op diet today. I was thinking I wouldn't go to after the holidays. but getter to get it done and stop worring about the holiday eating. Any prayers are welcome especially on surgery day. Thanks. Rebecca

Today I am feeling frustrated with the presurgery process. I was very excited to get the last consult finished. The Dr. Said he's get his consult right over to the program nurse. I called today to see if I can get any info on when they might be thinking about when I might be able to get the surgery done. I get the "its the holiday, and our office probably wont get it for at least a week." I wasw hoping to get this done before Christmas. I also need to make arrangment for being off at work. With having to do the two week liquid diet I am looking at the week right before Christmas. I wish the would have said well let us look at the schedule, if we get the consult back next week and you start liquids after thhanksgiving we can do you in two weeks. I guess that 's alot to expect but I am soooo tired of being fat and tired. I have been working on the pre-op appointments since the beginning of Oct. UHHHGGGGG. :banghead:

Went to my last consult. cardiology. He okayed me and got me right over for a echo. He said he's get the consult right over to the surgeon. Jope fully right after Thanksgiving I should have a surgery date. I will be and am thankful that I made this decision. Hope every one has a great thanksgiving.
