  2. Does anyone know how we can get access to those shakes and puddings that we had to eat in pre-op?? I would love to just start back there again....
  3. OMG!! I swear you just wrote EVERYTHING that I've been going through!!! I most DEFINITELY can say I know how you feel and what you are going through. I was sleeved 06/29/10. I weighed the heaviest before surgery at 331 pounds...and I lost in a year a total of 102 pounds.......I have NOW gained back 35 to 40 pounds and I am miserable!!! I don't know which way to turn. I've tried meetings, crash diets just to get me back in the swing and nothing is working. What I realize though is that it's all mental. I've been trying to get myself to go back to that mindset and discipline that I had to do everything right with the surgery, because I was so afraid of messing things up. That is the ONLY way (in my opinion) that we can get back on track. I am so willing to help you if you help me and we can be a support system. Anything to help. You are not out here alone...believe that. I am looking for answers just like you. Someone to please help. But if I can be of any encouragement on those hard days I will definitely be that, because I understand where you are.
  4. Huhhhhh....(big sigh). I'm writing this in total frustration with myself. I think I've totally stretched my sleeve, because nothing...and I mean NOTHING is being restricted and I'm SO scared that I am going to gain my weight back. I was sleeved about a year and a half ago...June 29th, 2010. I weighed 330 pounds at my highest (which was right before surgery). This time last year (6 months later) I weighed 215 pounds!!! Yes! I lost a total of 115 pounds in less than 6 months. How great is that! I should have been totally proud of myself...I looked and felt wonderful! But....there was always the evil food lurking over me...snacks, chips, Cookies...and soda. Time went on and my cravings have become worse and my tolerance has become better. BAD combination. To make a long story short...the past 3 to 4 months I've been drinking a lot of Soda (which is the Devil to Sleevers) and I think I've ruined my sleeve. Since March of this year my weight has slowly creeped up...I am now teetering between 235 and 240!!! Someone please help me or give me some advice or hope that I have not totally ruined my sleeve. I have cut the soda totally now. I don't what I'd do if I gain this weight back.
  5. Hey Ladies! I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 22...I am now 34. I was sleeved on June 29th, 2010 and I have lost a total of 123 pounds. The first 70 were easy...I didn't have any problems or sickness. Now that I am a year and some months out...it has got hard. I am starting to crave sweets so you have to be VERY careful. As far as my PCOS symptoms...I noticed improvement after about my 4 or 5 month. My period is still irregular, but it comes every month now....just a few days to maybe a week off. Before I have gone months without having one at all. My blood pressure is WAY down and I feel great. I just have to tackle those sweet cravings and old eating habits. I am concerned about fertility...I have not really began to see if I can get pregnant or not. Before the doctor would always say it was due to the weight...ok now I've lost weight and they don't like to give definite answers still. So after the first of the year I'm going to start being very aggressive with some answers. I hope this helps a little, if you have any questions PLEASE do not hesitate to ask. Overall, I do not regret having the surgery. The hardest thing about it is having the discipline to change. It's changing habits that's the hardest.
  6. ....but I had a taste for it and I made it. Yes....Chili Dip. I don't think it was THAT bad for me, but I know it wasn't the healthiest. I had low fat chili without beans, fat free cream cheese and fat free shredded cheese...all melted together in the oven. MMMMMMMMM..... I had 4 small wheat crackers and I only ate about a two spoonfuls of it. Is that bad you guys? I feel so guilty...but I am 4 weeks out of surgery and I am SO sick of tuna, fish, and soup. I couldn't take it anymore! LOL! I'm just now breaking my 3 week weight loss stall...I'm down 42 pounds since pre op....so I can definitely feel my body changing and wanting a little more to eat (although I can't really eat...only a few bites and I have that full feeling). Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can eat...that's good and not feel so guilty. One thing...I'm not craving anything sweet...so I guess there is hope. LOL:thumbup:
  7. Whew! I'm glad to see someone else feels the same way I do. I was sleeved on June 29th and I was up and feeling great the next day! I was starting to think that I am doing something wrong. Since pre op I've lost a total of about 32 pounds...but now in week 2 I've stalled! My weight has not changed for 2 weeks and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. It has become very frustrating. I'm trying to increase my protein and water in take. Some days I feel like I'm drinking too many liquids, because they go down so easily. So I guess I'm kind of paying the price for feeling so good!? NO WEIGHT LOSS!!! Does anyone have any suggestions or will the weight EVER come off and did I get this surgery for NOTHING???
  8. I had surgery on the 29th also...and I'm just a little confused. LOL! I've had nearly no pain...besides severe nausea the first day and being a little sore. Is it supposed to be this easy? Although I am worried, because even though I'm not that hungry (since it's 4th of July....it's been VERY hard to go to the cookouts) I still feel like if I wanted to (although I havent), I could go eat a full course meal without any problems. Am I supposed to feel this way? At first I had a time sipping liquids..but that lasted less than 24 hours and now I can sip a bottled water with no problem. (is that normal???) The only issue I can say that I'm having right now is gas...well at least I hope that's what it is. It a small throbbing pain that comes and goes. If I try to eat or when I'm not eating or drinking anything it appears. Usually wakes me up in the morning. Since the day of surgery I've lost about 11 pounds and I'm really hoping more comes off...I guess my nerves are just taking me over right now. Just concerned that I'm doing everything right.
  9. I had a very small issue with acid reflux about 2 years ago...so I'm hoping that it doesn't come back afterwards either....because it makes me so hoarse. Overall, I'm just keeping faith with it all. More of me is excited and anxious to get it over with than the other part of me being nervous...especially never having any kind of major surgery before.
  10. :thumbup1: Oh my! LOL! No I don't do that. I had to go back and double check and make sure it wasn't a typo! That is funny!
  11. Wow..that's great! So maybe I should just relax. I do notice the times I have lost weight before my voice is much stronger and my range is better...so I'm hoping after the surgery this will have same affect. My surgery date is the 29th of June and I have a HUGE concert here in Cincy on August 22nd...I'm hoping I'll be ok by then.
  12. Okay...so I am EXTREMELY nervous. I've always been against any kind of weight loss surgery...but this past year...not sure what has changed my mind...but it has. I am a month away from surgery and although I've tried to read all details about it and listen to others...I'm STILL nervous. I am 32 years old and I have reached the heaviest I've ever been at 320 lbs. People say I carry my weight well...but I'm sick of hearing that. I want to be happy. One of my greatest concerns is that I am a vocalist. I do alot of performing and I don't know how my voice is going to be affected (if at all) after surgery. I surely don't want to lose it of course, because it is my source of income. Besides...I LOVE to do it! I've been reading alot of the threads and everyone's story is so inspiring. I just wanted to know if there are any singers out there and how they feel after surgery.
