  2. i'll be 4 weeks out on tuesday, and would do it again tomarrow if had to. i do have some acid reflux but the ppi takes care of it if i stay on top of it. food no longer consumes my every thought. everyone is different.
  3. thank you guys! im trying not to focus on it, and i put the scale up so i am not tempted to weigh.
  4. i was kicking my legs up in the air too
  5. wow! you look so increadible!!!! i cant believe how wonderful you look. i started at the same amount as you (311) and i am currently at 244, i cant wait to get down to 200lbs. you look like the same build as me. i hope to look half as good as you do when i get to that size! thank you for posting this picture for all of us who are just begining this journey and motivating us. you truely are amazing! i am just shocked.....really! way to go!
  6. so sorry! i had the same thing happen to me when i was my heaviest. i was wearing heals, which is horrible. i twisted my ankle and i fell down between the curb and a truck. i was literally stuck between the two and had to have my hubby help me out. soooooo embarrising! hope you feel better!
  7. thats why i didnt tell anyone. only my hubby and my daughter know. i just didnt need the extra stress and criticism!
  8. that is great! :bananajump:
  9. thank you ladies! i guess its pretty much textbook to expect this then. im gonna avoid the scale for a while so that i dont stress about it.
  10. i just posted almost the same thing! i was sleeved on the 16th and i was losing about a pound a day and then for the past 3 days nothing. i guess i need to just relax and learn to work my sleeve. they will come off. we will get there!
  11. the last pair of jeans i had bought were a size 26....i used to fit into a size 6. i swore that i would never end up looking like i do. when i bought those jeans i realized i was already bigger then where i swore i would never get. even though i am still recovering i dont regret it a bit. thank god for making the doctor who came up with this surgery!
  12. i keep hearing about the 3 week stall. i am at 3 weeks now and i noticed that the weight isnt coming off. so i guess my question is how long does this first stall normally last?
  13. thanks ladies, at least i know im not alone. i have been able to eat Soups without to much trouble so hopefully adding more Protein there will help. i have tried Isopure, muscle milk, and some other ones that i havent liked. i do like the slim fast shakes, i just am getting tired of it. i want a little more variety. i tried eating chili today. i could manage a few bites without the hurt. i will keep trecking along. mememeee-i know it will get better. soon you will be happy with it. i am still really happy that i got it. i feel like i finally have control over my food addiction. i dont constantly think of food anymore. that is great for me.
  14. i have been trying to be good. eat my protein and then some fruit or veggies. however when i eat the protein it hurts. i feel all gassy like im gonna burp barf everywhere. i have been taking my time, chewing well, but i still feel this way. i am able to eat other things without this pain/gas, but when its meat or cheese i feel sick from it. i cant do the protein shakes, i hate them. yes im on a ppi, and gas pill. is this normal and will go away? i just hope that this feeling doesnt last forever.
  15. well i have flown several times in the past few years and havent had to buy another ticket, however i dont require an extender. i have seen other people get them and not have an issue. are they flying you business class, because those seats are a little more roomy. i would ask your boss if they are flying you business class....also some of the airlines offer a last minute upgrade for anywhere between 50-100 dollars. you might want to go to the ticket counter and try to up it. i hope it all works out for the best.
  16. yes its normal because the liquid just goes right through. when you get to mushies you will feel full real fast.
  17. im 3 weeks out and am happy if i get 400 calories in a day. normally i am full of energy since the surgery, but today i feel like poop. my period is coming so i think that is draining me. this is my first since surgery. i am really tired and just want to sleep right now.
  18. good luck! im sure you will do fine!
  19. way to go! cant wait to be there myself!
  20. im 3 weeks out and i had that same problem for a while. i dont as much anymore, but do find that it creeps up occationally. i have to make sure not to drink to many fluids also or it comes right back up. i was a gulper of water before the surgery, and find that is the only way i feel satisfied thirst wise. it sucks to have to take such little sips. but everyday gets easier to get used to it.
  21. um, i am pretty sure that the surgery has to be approved by the fda in order to be done here. i had no problem getting it covered by blue cross blue shield of california. some insurance companys consider it to be experimental still because it is still new, but that is so they dont have to pay for it. insurance company's get away with that all the time. good luck
  22. that is great. keep up the good work!
  23. yes i got mine from the pharmacy, but you can use one from a nyquil bottle, or liquid medicine cup. a 2 tbs one is the best. just sip on that. another good one for the person on the go that doesnt have time to carry that around with them is taking a 2 liter bottle and fill it up almost to the top (get a couple to work with) then freeze it the night before. carry that around with you, as it melts drink it. once it is gone get out the other one and do the same. 2 of those is all you need for the day. i like this way because you can drink to fast because it takes a while for the ice to melt, and it is cold water. i love cold water 10 times more then warm. good luck ladies, and just keep sipping...
