  1. Thanks! Good luck with surgery. Let me know how you come through it.
  2. I feel great. At a Giants game tonight. Pain was minimal. Only took pain meds for 2 days. Down 12 lbs unfortunately been at a stall for 5 days.
  3. Yay! You're almost there. I had my surgery May 29th with Dr. Grinberg. He's awesome.
  4. My husband said he needs to step up his healthy eating and fitness. He has to keep up with his hot wife. Love him!
  5. Good job! Excited the scale finally moved. Can you take a benedryl or Claritin. That should help the itching.
  6. My surgeon had me do an endoscopy prior to my sleeve to see if I has any signs of acid reflux. He said that if you have it, the sleeve can actually make it worse and not go away. I was told if I showed anything suggesting to it, he would only to the bypass. I passed and haven't had one bit but I do take a Prilosec in the am and pm. Hope you feel better soon. That is the worst.
  7. I'm on a stall still also. It's been 4 days and scale is stuck. I get so excited to get out of bed. I run to the bathroom, hop on the scale and impatiently wait a second and nothing. Tomorrow I will do the same. Scale please wake up.
  8. Last night my tongue felt odd. The taste buds on the back of my tongue were large and my tongue was covered in a white film. I researched it last night then decided to email the surgeon. He's given me a swoosh and spit rinse. I never took antibiotics after surgery so I'm curious why I would get this.
  9. I'm not concentrating on the timing of my liquids so much. The surgeon said it's not going to stay with you long to even worry about keeping you full. Thursday is day 14 for me and that means puréed. Woo hoo.
  10. Well two days and the scale hasn't moved. I'm not stressing cause I feel thinner but I'd really like to see those numbers change.
  11. Happened to me yesterday. Cheesy garlic bread was torture. I put my hand over my nose so I didn't smell it and my son thought I was going to be sick. I laughed and said it smelled to darn good.
  12. Saw my surgeon today for my follow up. Down 11 lbs in 8 days. I'm able to switch back to my XR Wellbutrin. That's a blessing. Can't stand crushing anything. Tried to talk him into advancing to the pureed stage. That didn't work. Day 14 is pureed foods. He said my stomach is still recovering and it needs time to heal. I haven't cheated once and I feel great. I will follow the dr's orders. Dr.Grinberg Rocks!
  13. Count me in for a Facebook page. Love that idea. Fitness Pal is my favorite. Another one my friends trainer told her to use was Lose It. He said it was better than fitness pal for some reason but can't remember. I also just added my weight into the app WeightDrop. I like seeing the totals and graphs.
  14. I have three different flavors in my fridge. Tried one. They have a terrible texture or taste or something. I guess if I couldn't do anything else but at this point, no way.
  15. My teenage son wanted Lil Caesars pizza so off we went. He comes back to the car with not only the pizza (yuck) but cheesy garlic bread. I know I can't have that but tell my taste buds that.
  16. Hummus sounds wonderful. I really want foods with flavor and lots of spice. Puréed foods isn't until day 14 for me. Today is day 7. Rachel Ray is gonna be the death of me or make me a wonderful cook. Can't wait to move on.
  17. . Took a couple days and feeling a bit better. Getting really tired of all these suppliments. Glad I'm off work until the end of June. Takes time to get acclimated to this routine. My work day usually starts at 4 am. sleeping in until 9 am is really wonderful.
  18. HI. Are your pains around your incisions or the center of your tummy? I am still getting gas pains in the evenings. 6 days post op and my energy level really started to fall yesterday. I was feeling so good the first 4 days then yesterday I was extremely fatigued and today the dizziness came. I'm getting my fluids in and my protein too. It's starting to really heat up here in the Sacramento valley and it's kinda exhausting. IDK. Just part of the baby steps it's taking to recover. 9 lbs post op feels wonderful.
  19. I think we are are going to have our good days and bad day. Hang in there everyone. We are all here together through this journey. <3
  20. Well day 4 post op and I'm on to phase 2. Everything seems to be going great and literally the house plumbing backs up while my personal plumbing decides its time to be overactive. Loose bowels and plumbing issues, not good. Getting it fixed now. Dr. says I need to add some fiber into my diet. This is a typical side effect with starting phase 2. Could be lactose, protein or who knows what but I guess it's better than being backed up. Good news is that I'm down. 6 lbs in 4 days. I have no idea if this is typical but I'm happy with it.
  21. I see my surgeon for a follow up Friday. I'm def going to ask for confirmation on the leak test. I need to see evidence.
  22. Glad to hear you ladies are sleeved. Every day gets easier.
  23. I would totally show mine if I had one. Dr did my leak test during surgery.
